Haha, this is super silly but if you enjoyed the roller coaster ride that was Gravity and wished you were a superhero once before in your life, you should enjoy this fun mash-up video that creates a fake "deleted scene" that changes the entire movie.
A good policy on all wingsuit jumps is to never crash into anything. A secondary policy to follow would be if you do crash into something, make sure it’s soft and not Rio de Janeiro’s 125-foot tall Christ the Redeemer statue. Jesus Christ may be forgiving but his statue made of 635 metric tons of reinforced concrete and soapstone is not.
Remember how Christopher Reeve’s Superman spun the earth backward to go back in time and save Lois? Turns out, he probably shouldn’t have done that, because slowing the earth’s rotation to a stop would seriously mess up everything on our planet, as Earth Unplugged explains. Not cool, Superman.
People are crazy. Especially in big cities like New York or Los Angeles. Here is a video from Los Angeles where a guy is smashing up a LAPD police car. That’s no surprise, but what is interesting is that Darth Vader and Superman are on the scene.
The guy yells “God is real!” while smashing up the cop car and stealing a laptop inside. Vader just looks on. while the guy breaks the window and takes the laptop, then walks a few feet away and starts to use it. Obviously Vader mind-controlled this guy and made him take the fall.
Superman arrives on the scene at the end, way too late to do any good, but at least he showed up.
Here’s something that’ll make you feel good on a day you wish was still the weekend: a 16-month old kid watches Superman take his first flight in Man of Steel and adorably (and appropriately) cheers him on. It’s just pure happiness. You can see the wonder in his eyes, the excitement in his clap and the mirroring joy when his arms are raised. We were once you kid. If only we still were!
He’s Superman. Actually, I take it back. I don’t even think Superman would fly this impossibly close to the ground because it’s just ridiculous. Insane, really. That didn’t stop wingsuit pilot Brian Drake from zipping mere feet from the ground though. Look at him tear through the gully and marvel at death being defied. So awesome.
Etsy artist Danielle Ward makes dresses with colors and styles inspired by characters from comic books, as well as animé, sci-fi and other geeky media. Just like superheroes and their costumes, Danielle’s dresses lets you change your look. Each one has a variety of layers and straps that make it easy to convert the style of the dress.
As you may have guessed, the dress above was inspired by Superman. Check out its alternative forms in the gallery below, where I’ve also included Danielle’s Batman, TARDIS and Wonder Woman dresses.
You can order the dresses from Danielle’s Etsy shop Little Petal NYC. Each dress costs $200 (USD). If you consider that you’re getting many dresses in one form then the price isn’t bad. If you want to make a dress from other characters, just ask Danielle and you two can work out the details.

Though the world of comic book superheroes requires a suspension of disbelief, there are still rules even superheroes need to follow! Things just can’t happen when they don’t make sense! At least that’s what comic book legend Stan Lee thinks. And if he thinks like that, we should listen. Here he explains why he really hates Superman. And it goes beyond Superman being boring.
As if Canadian currency wasn’t already colorful enough, to help commemorate the 75th anniversary of Superman—which was co-created by Canuck Joe Shuster—the Royal Canadian Mint has created a series of seven coins honoring the fictional hero.
Man of Surgery: Superman Fan Gets 19 Plastic Surgeries to Look Like Clark Kent
Posted in: Today's ChiliThere are fans and then there are crazy people. We’ve all seen the insane women who get plastic surgery to look more like Barbie dolls and even anime girls, but check this guy out. He has 19 plastic surgeries to make himself look more like Superman.
35-year-old Herbert Chaves, originally from the Philippines, has undergone numerous surgical procedures – all to look more like the Man of Steel. Chavez has been a fan since he was five years-old and has had nose jobs, jaw realignment, liposuction, pec implants and even skin lightening.
The $7,000(USD) he spent on surgeries might seem like a bargain, but keep in mind that the average hourly wage in the Philippines works out to be about $1.50 here in the States.
He does look more like Superman/Clark Kent, but sadly, he looks closest to Brandon Routh, the worst Superman.
