Yes, modern consoles increasingly run all kinds of non-game apps — especially the entertainment kind — as the manufacturers of just about every type of consumer electronics aim to be the primary interface between people and their favorites 1s and 0s.

iOS users are delighted by the new iOS 7 rollout, available not only on the new iPhones, but on previous models as well. And unlike Android users, most of whom fail to upgrade to the latest operating system, iOS users tend to upgrade en masse, which means many, many people already have iOS 7 or will have it shortly.

If you like music, you must have good headphones. It’s that simple. To do otherwise would be to cheat yourself out of one of life’s great pleasures. Why would you want to do that?

You can yell, "Beam me up, Scotty!" all you want, the only thing that will happen is you’ll elicit a bunch of bemused stares from passersby wondering if you’ve bonked your head recently. The sad fact is human teleportation devices don’t yet exist in 2013, and even if they did, the tremendous lag would make it extraordinarily impractical. Such is the reality of science that it doesn’t always mesh with our fantastic visions of fictional futures filled with flying cars and other implausible technologies. In other words, reality sucks compared to what we’ve grown up watching on television.
