BlackBerry Z10 & Q10 Reappear On T-Mobile’s Website

BlackBerry Z10 & Q10 Reappear On T Mobiles WebsiteGood news BlackBerry users and fans! If you’re on T-Mobile’s network and you were thinking about getting yourself a brand new BlackBerry handset, you will be pleased to learn that the carrier has put up the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10 on its website. Wait, didn’t T-Mobile always sell those phones anyway?

Technically they did for a while, but at one point the company stopped listing BlackBerry phones on its website, apparently due to low demand. T-Mobile later claimed that they had not stopped selling the phones, but would be making them available only through direct fulfilment. What this meant that is unless you knew what phone you were looking for, you wouldn’t be able to find it online or at T-Mobile’s stores just by browsing. (more…)

T Mobile Adds 1.6m Subscribers In Q4, Posts $20m LossT-Mobile has been pretty aggressive these days when it comes to trying to get new customers to hop onboard their service. Earlier this year we saw the carrier announce Uncarrier 4.0 in which T-Mobile was willing to go as far as paying for a customer’s ETF with a rival carrier to get them to sign with T-Mobile.

Well it looks like T-Mobile’s efforts have paid off because according to a recent Q4 2013 report released by the carrier, it seems that their aggressive strategy has worked as they have managed to add an additional 1.6 million customers to their network, 869,000 of which were of the branded postpaid type. Sprint Wi-Fi Calling Launched

    Sprint Wi Fi Calling Launched

A few weeks back rumors started circulating about the possibility of Sprint Wi-Fi calling being launched in the near future. Its closest rival, T-Mobile, has offered Wi-Fi calling for quite some time now, so it makes sense for Sprint to follow suit as well. The carrier has formally announced the launch now, with Samsung Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S4 mini being the first devices to support Wi-Fi calling on Sprint after installing an incremental over-the-air update. The carrier says that this update will be pushed out to these devices over the next few weeks.

Enraged BlackBerry Fanboys Take T-Mobile Ad Viral

    John Legere

BlackBerry fanboys are… passionate. Obnoxious could be another word. At a moment’s notice, they assemble and attack anyone who wafts a whiff of negativity against their fallen hero.

T-Mobile’s CEO learned this the hard way… but that was probably T-Mobile’s plan from the start.

Earlier this week, T-Mobile sent out an email to its BlackBerry customers offering them an iPhone 5s for $0 down. It’s a good deal. At least it’s a good deal for those BlackBerry users looking to switch. But in traditional BlackBerry fanboy fashion, the dwindling fanbase attacked T-Mobile and its CEO.

BlackBerry’s CEO even penned a post thanking his troops for “expressing your outrage directly to T-Mobile ‎through tweets, calls and comments in the media and on blog posts.” John Chen went on to call to call T-Mobile’s promotion “inappropriate” and “ill-conceived marketing promotion”.

Chen was wrong. T-Mobile was just feeding the trolls for its own benefit.

T-Mobile is currently engaging in a rebranding. Billed as the uncarrier, T-Mobile is trying its hardest to separate itself from other U.S. carriers with unconventional wireless plans, phone prices, and, yes, marketing schemes. Even if T-Mobile’s marketing department wasn’t fully aware of the rabid BlackBerry crowd, they certain knew that their promotion, called “A great deal for BlackBerry users,” would ruffle some feathers and get kicked around the Internet. It was clearly designed to be snarky.

BlackBerry fanboys have always been predictable. T-Mobile essentially released a promo that would spread like a wildfire among the demographic it was specifically targeting and you can be positive some of the former BB users are dumping their dogs as we speak.

Think T-Mo learned its lesson? Nope. The carrier also just rolled a new plan where it will give $250 to upgrading BlackBerry users. This, folks, is viral marketing at its best.

T-Mobile HTC One Android 4.4.2 Update Releasing This Week

T Mobile HTC One Android 4.4.2 Update Releasing This Week

You can be forgiven for asking about when the latest Android update is going to be available for your device. Android updates are never rolled out for all devices at once, there are carrier certifications and OEM tests that need to be run before an update is deemed to be ready for end users. These days the focus is on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, those with supported devices want to know exactly when they will receive said update. Samsung laid down its roadmap for U.S. release of Android 4.4.2 yesterday and today there’s word from HTC about the T-Mobile HTC One Android 4.4.2 update release.

T-Mobile Offers BlackBerry Customers Free, Expedited Shipping

T Mobile Offers BlackBerry Customers Free, Expedited ShippingAs you might have heard, BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen was not too happy about how T-Mobile had gone about emailing BlackBerry customers, asking them to “upgrade” to the iPhone 5s. T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere, initially responded by saying that this would be a matter that he would be looking into, and later followed up with a Tweet over the weekend saying that the carrier would continue support BlackBerry devices and that BlackBerry users would not have to give up their devices in favor of a different brand/platform.

Well the good news is that T-Mobile appears to be ready to make amends with BlackBerry users and has since announced that they will begin offering free and expedited shipping on all BlackBerry devices to T-Mobile customers who order them. This offer is expected to be go live by this Friday although we’re not sure how long the offer will last for, but if you’re in the market for a new BlackBerry handset, perhaps this is one offer that you will want to take advantage of. However it should be noted that BlackBerry devices sold via T-Mobile can only be bought through direct shipping or telesales, as noted by T-Mobile in the past, rather than in-store inventory, so this is something to consider if you were interested in getting yourself a new BlackBerry handset.
