T-Mobile Roadmap Reveals More Smartphone Releases

T Mobile Roadmap Reveals More Smartphone ReleasesEvery company needs a roadmap so that they have a better idea as to where they are headed towards, and the same can be said of T-Mobile. Good thing their roadmap was leaked recently, and what has been revealed showed a spanking new T-Mobile Sonic 2.0 Mobile Hotspot with LTE capability, where it will be accompanied by the Samsung T599 Galaxy Exhibit, Galaxy S III LTE and BlackBerry Z10 release dates.

When you take everything into consideration, it does seem as though March 27th will be the date to look out for where T-Mobile is concerned, since all of the devices mentioned earlier is set to roll out on that particular Wednesday. The Samsung T599 Galaxy Exhibit will come in a Pebble Gray shade, while carrying the “Codina” codename, and it will come in both prepaid and postpaid options just in case you have yet to make up your mind. Apart from that, it would be extremely interesting to see the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 being made available, although that might happen on the first week of April instead of the last week of March.

Leaked T-Mobile doc pins BlackBerry Z10, Galaxy S III LTE for March 27th launch

Hankering for some fresh T-Mobile devices with LTE connectivity? According to a leaked roadmap courtesy of Mr. Blurrycam and TmoNews, Magenta will satisfy that craving on March 27th with the BlackBerry Z10, Samsung Galaxy Exhibit (in both pre-paid and monthly plan varieties) and the Sonic 2.0 LTE mobile hotspot. An LTE flavor of the Galaxy S III is also penciled in for March 27th, but the roadmap notes it could be available starting April 3rd instead. February’s only just begun, but T-Mobile seems to have its springtime planned out pretty well ahead of time.

Leaked T-Mobile Calendar Points To March 27 Release Date For The BlackBerry Z10

z10-3

Between multiple simultaneous press conferences and sinking funds into a questionable Super Bowl commercial, BlackBerry is keen to make sure that its BB10-powered hardware is still on your mind. Really, the only thing that BlackBerry hasn’t been very comfortable talking about in public is when exactly the Z10 will make its long-awaited U.S. debut.

Those are announcements best left to carriers, and thankfully they’re not immune to leaks — according to a handset launch calendar obtained by TmoNews, BlackBerry’s Z10 will make its T-Mobile debut on March 27. Sadly, the calendar lacks pricing details, but I wouldn’t expect T-Mobile to stray too far (if at all) from the $199 price point Verizon has already advertised.

Sorry, BlackBerry fanatics — it was no secret that BlackBerry was eying a March launch window for the Z10′s domestic debut, but a launch late in the month may only making that sense of gadget-centric yearning even harder to bear. Meanwhile, the Z10 has already launched in the U.K. (where it seems to be doing rather well), and our neighbors in Canada will be able to pick one up come February 5 (i.e. tomorrow).

While at the company’s New York launch event, CEO Thorsten Heins pegged the Z10′s domestic launch delay on the extensive testing process that carriers are putting it through. Though just about every major carrier in the U.S. has pledged to support the Waterloo-based company’s new hardware, there’s still no word on when they plan to push them out the door. That hasn’t stopped them from talking about their plans in broad strokes though — Verizon will exclusively carry the white Z10 spotted before the platform’s launch, and Sprint plans to skip the Z10 in favor of the slightly more traditional Q10 when it launches some time in April.

Turns out, the 27th could be a very big day for any T-Mo customer looking to pick up some shiny new hardware — other releases slated for that day include LTE-friendly versions of the Galaxy S III and the carrier’s Sonic mobile hotspot.

T-Mobile’s Nokia Lumia 710 Will Be Missing Windows Phone 7.8 Update

T Mobiles Nokia Lumia 710 Will Be Missing Windows Phone 7.8 UpdateAs we’ve noted a few times in the past, the fact that Windows Phone 7.x devices are getting passed over for the Windows Phone 8 update is most certainly a pet peeve of current Windows Phone 7.x owners. Microsoft attempted to make up for it with a Windows Phone 7.8 update and while that might appease some users, it looks like if you’re a T-Mobile subscriber with a Nokia Lumia 710, you might be out of luck with both Windows Phone 8 AND Windows Phone 7.8. According to a reader of WPCentral, they emailed Nokia asking if the Windows Phone 7.8 update would be arriving for their device.

The reply was not too comforting as Nokia reportedly stated that there are actually a small number of carriers who have chosen not to roll out the update, and it seems that T-Mobile USA is one of them. T-Mobile has not given a reason why they decided not to go with the update, but it has been speculated that perhaps the cost outweighs the benefit. Either way T-Mobile has been keeping mum on the issue, but hopefully they will be able to confirm this and have a change of heart in the near future.

Nokia Lumia 810 LTE Update From T-Mobile Possible

Nokia Lumia 810 LTE Update From T Mobile PossibleIt seems that the good people over at T-Mobile have begun to have a better idea when it comes to keeping up with the times, by being ready to bring about LTE connectivity to devices connected on their network. So far, there has been limited testing being conducted on several devices which are available on T-Mobile, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that comes with LTE hardware underneath the hood, right out of the box. All it needs is a software update, and you’re good to go. Well, it seems that another device has been added to the list, that would be the Nokia Lumia 810 with its very own LTE-enabling update.

Engadget claims that a T-Mobile representative has confirmed that the Nokia Lumia 810 will be on the receiving end of an update which will bring LTE connectivity to the smartphone, although the fated date as to when that might happen has yet to be confirmed at time of publishing. T-Mobile’s LTE network has barely outgrown its diapers so far, so do remain patient and bide your time.

Which T-Mobile smartphones will support LTE?

Which T-Mobile smartphones will support LTE?

It’s no secret that T-Mobile is on the cusp of lighting up its first LTE network in Las Vegas, but with Kansas City soon to follow — and ambitions of extending LTE coverage to 100 million Americans by mid-year — it’s time to start factoring this consideration into your next smartphone purchase. While the carrier’s HSPA+ 42 network is certainly speedy, there’s no point in saddling yourself with a device that’s rooted in the past. Want to make sure you’re ready for what comes next? T-Mobile Has The Nexus 4 In Stock! You Guys! Hurry!

nexus 41

If you’re quick, you can snag a Nexus 4 from T-Mobile right now for $199 on contract. Ever since its launch, the phone has been rather hard to purchase. Blame Google. Blame LG. But it doesn’t matter now, ’cause you can buy one right this very second.

The Nexus 4 launched on the Google Play store late last year. It sold out almost immediately. T-Mobile then started selling the phone in some retail locations last week. Now, right on schedule, the Nexus 4 is available through its website as long as you’re willing to sign a contract — which is kind of a bummer.

Part of the Nexus 4′s breakout success comes from its original pricing. Google cut the wireless carrier out of the picture and sold the phone at a fair price without requiring a new contract. At $349 the phone was slightly more than a comparable iPhone, but owners weren’t locked into a 2 year service agreement.

So, if you’re willing to lock yourself into a two-year agreement, here’s the link to the hottest Android phone currently on the market. If not, keep on refreshing the Nexus 4′s Google Play product page. It’s bound to be in stock sometime in 2013.

RIM And T-Mobile To Hold Executive Blackberry 10 Preview Ahead Of Launch

RIMblackberry10pressevent thumb RIM And T Mobile To Hold Executive Blackberry 10 Preview Ahead Of LaunchSo we know that RIM’s Blackberry 10 platform will be launched on all four major carriers – AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, but it looks like some lucky customers (maybe T-Mobile subscribers) will be chosen by both RIM and T-Mobile to attend a Blackberry 10 Executive Preview Event which will be held in NYC at a supposedly top secret location. As you can see in the photo of the invite above, and from the name of the event, we expect that RIM and T-Mobile will be catering to the enterprise users and convince them that RIM’s Blackberry 10 platform will be the enterprise platform of choice. Given that RIM’s BES was (and probably still is for some companies) the platform of choice for many companies back in the day, perhaps Blackberry 10 will be compelling enough for companies to reconsider adopting RIM’s mobile platform. The event will be held on the 24th of January, a little less than a week before RIM’s official launch.
