Fans of classic SEGA games will want to start saving up their Yen now, as there are some amazing new T-shirts on the way from Japan that you’ll want hanging in your closets.

The shirts, made by Geek Life are based on classic games including Space Harrier, Altered Beast and Galaxy Force II, and are covered with large, detailed artwork which just looks amazing.

The shirts even feature tags on the back based on the original game logos.

Geek Life says that more designs will be released down the road, and the initial designs will be available this April, selling for ¥6,000 (~$59 USD) each.

Graphic designer/tee fighter/Red Bubble squadron member Huck Blade mashed up Red Bull’s logo with the Alliance Starfighter Corps’ famous call sign. If Red Bull gives you wings, Red Five gives you two X-wings.

Thanks to it8bit, I’ve found one of my new favorite artists: Billy Butcher. His collection Come Play My Game, I’ll Test Ya! is an edgy and lively mashup of pop culture, headlined by my favorite pastime: videogames. Can you name the references in each illustration?

My favorite has to be the Akira/Pac-Man/Ghostbusters mashup. “Tetsuoooo!!! Waka-Waka!!!”

It must be insanely hard to come up with an original superhero these days, what with the hundreds – or perhaps thousands – of already existing ones. Is there any superpower that hasn’t been taken yet? Just looking at the graphic in Pop Chart Lab’s t-shirt must be enough to make a budding writer sweat bullets. Then prompt him to create Bullet Sweater, the ultimate worrier.

The intimidating chart collates 384 super-powered characters, from Superman to Silent Majority. As mind-boggling as that may be, even a casual comic geek like me knows that this is by no means comprehensive. Bullet Sweater isn’t here, for one thing.

You can order The Giant Omnibus of Superpowers t-shirt from Pop Chart Lab for just $20 (USD). As of this writing I didn’t see the graphic being offered as a print, but you can check out a large image of the chart here.
