TARDIS VW Beetle: Fahrverwhügen

This TARDIS VW Beetle is all timey-whimey and bigger on the… outside. Which is pretty normal. I remember when the 3rd Doctor had a car that he used to drive around in and fight monsters with. The next Doctor should have a Beetle like this.

We need more Timelord driving around crashing into things and less Timelord flying around in a box whining about his name. Remember that crack in time? I bet it started on the windshield of this VW. Probably happened when he let Clara drive.

Impossible girl my arse! Impossible that she passed her driver’s test. Impossible that she didn’t see that Dalek in the middle of the road. It’s impossible for her to get cheap insurance rates – that’s what’s impossible.

Dr Who Tardis USB 4 Port Hub

Are all USB hubs created equal? The correct answer would be, “No”, and a resounding one at that, too. After all, hardcore Dr Who fans might even start to fantasize that the £22.95 Dr Who Tardis USB 4 Port Hub which they see here is able to send them into a time warp, but even if to their great disappointment that it does not, at least you have a quartet of USB ports available for you to plug in a plethora of other devices into your PC or Mac, as and when required.

If you do not want to start off the work week on a dull note, then the Dr Who Tardis USB 4 Port Hub is your cup of tea (or coffee), as each time you plug it in, the lantern at the top will flash, alongside the classic time travelling sound effects. Needless to say, just in case the rest of your colleagues get jealous of the latest toy at the office, you can always turn off the special sound effect to annoy them less. Definitely more than capable of brightening up any work space for sure.

Police Box Kit Makes Your Fridge Cooler on the Outside

Doctor Who fans may remember this picture of a refrigerator that’s been modified to look like the TARDIS, or at least a traditional British police box. It turns out that the people who made that fridge are selling kits so you can have your own TARDIS fridge at home too.

The kit started out as a pet project of Joy Alyssa Day and B.E. Johnson. Joy was a bit disappointed when she found out that the image of her customized fridge went viral but she and B.E. were barely credited. But she also noticed that many people were asking where they could buy the fridge, so the couple made the next best thing. You can order the kit from Joy and B.E.’s website.

The kits sell for $185 (USD) and can be customized according to the dimensions of your fridge. Joy and B.E. can also include a tiny door for your fridge’s ice maker if it has one – it’s the one with the “Pull to Open” phrase on the fridge door. Best of all, they can also add a sound module that can be programmed to play sound effects when the fridge doors open. I guess we all know what sound effects you want to have on there.

TARDIS Bunk Bed: Time and Relative Dimension in Sleep

If you want to have some proper time-traveling adventures in your dreams, it helps to have a Doctor Who themed bed – like this bunk bed that looks like the TARDIS.

tardis bedWhy? Because like the Doctor said, “Bunk beds are cool. A bed. With a ladder. You can’t beat that.” I think we would all agree. I love how it says Geronimo on the ladder as well. Any kid would love to lay in this bed and dream of fighting off Daleks and Cybermen, while pretending that their bed is an actual TARDIS.

Whoever the kid is who gets to sleep in this bed, I’m jealous. I would definitely get more rest if I slept in one.

Dr. Who Tardis Tent

Ah, to be young again, and to have numerous types of stuff to look forward to under the Christmas tree each year. Well, the Yuletide season might still be months away, but this is no excuse not to think of the future. After all, you can already start planning for the year end purchases, no? Failing to plan is planning to fail just in case you were wondering, and so if you happen to know that your little ones love camping in the great outdoors, you might want to get them this $114.99 Dr. Who Tardis Tent to help ease them into the world of Dr. Who to boot.

It goes without saying that to lay your hands on an actual Tardis is just about impossible for everyone and anyone, as all of us cannot harness huon energy. There is nothing quite like the power of cold, hard cash though, as it would net you this amazing Tardis Tent, which is totally tangible and of course, definitely resembles the iconic blue police box from the sci-fi great, Dr. Who. The Dr. Who Tardis Tent basically is a replica of the 11th Doctor’s Tardis, and is made out of canvas, standing tall at 61” and measures 35” wide when closed.

Doctor Who Storybook Corsets All Have a Happy Ending

We’ve seen a couple of TARDIS corsets before, but hubba hubba, these Doctor Who Storybook corsets look sexy AND tell a story at the same time. They are the product of an artist and a clothing designer getting together to make some awesome clothing.

Artist Karen Hallion and Mad Girl Clothing/Pendragon Studios teamed up to produce these corsets that show off Karen’s artwork which shows some classic story book characters heading off for adventures with The Doctor. The art is pretty amazing and it is a great idea.

You can order them over on Etsy for $195(USD) each. You can choose from The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland or Beauty from Beauty and the Beast. And if you prefer van Gogh to Walt Disney, you can always go with this design, with fabric by Studio Fibonacci.

Why have we not seen a companion wearing a corset anyway? I guess it would be hard to blend in with the locals when time traveling.

Doctor Who Disappearing Tardis Pint Glasses

You know what they say about starting them from young – if you are a huge fan of the Doctor Who series, then you would want to introduce your progeny to the likes of Daleks, the concept of time travel, as well as the Tardis, and if your teen has grown up to be a responsible adult, how about bonding over a few shots of tequila the next time you meet, and to chat about all things Doctor Who? You might as well set the stage for the occasion with the $19.99 Doctor Who Disappearing Tardis Pint Glasses, and these pint glasses will do exactly as they were meant to – that is, carry your favorite alcoholic beverage in shot glasses, with the Tardis turning bright blue with cold drinks inside.

Each of the Doctor Who Disappearing Tardis Pint Glasses will be able to hold 16 ounces of liquor, and remember not to dump these into the dishwasher once you are done with it as you would want to preserve the “magic”, so to speak. You will get a set of 2 color-changing Tardis pint glasses, where at regular temperatures, the Tardis would remain a pale blue.

This cool Doctor Who inspired Victorian TARDIS dress makes me wish we finally had a female Doctor to wear it on screen, though any of the Doctor’s companions would look fantastic in this dress from LoriAnn Costume Designs.

Doctor Who TARDIS Cake Pops: Tasty and Really Delicious InSide

If you’ve been reading Technabob for any period of time, you know that I have a love for Doctor Who. I also have a terrible sweet tooth. So I’m a real sucker for things which cross those two streams. Take, for example, these TARDIS cake pops.

tardis cake pops

Yes, I know they’re not the most technically-accurate blue police boxes you’ve ever seen, but they probably got a bit timey-wimey and wibbley-wobbley traveling across time and space from their baker’s oven.

They’re handmade made by Brittney of BeSweets and a set of 10 TARDIS cake pops costs just $18(USD) – which really isn’t bad given all the work that must go into making each of these pops. You can even choose from 22 different cake flavors, each coated with white (blue?) chocolate. While you’re over there, pick up some TARDIS oreos to go with. What, no Jammie Dodgers?
