The Elder Scrolls Online Early Access Times Revealed

The Elder Scrolls Online Early Access Times RevealedGood news gamers, if you were looking forward to The Elder Scrolls Online, you will be pleased to learn that it will be officially launching on the 4th of April which is next Friday, which in all honesty sounds like a great way to end the week!

However there is even better news which is that if you were to pre-order the game, you will be able to get a head start in the game compared to everyone else who did not pre-order. Interestingly enough the head starts will differ from retailer to retailer, so you might want to think about which retailer to purchase from if you have yet to pre-order the game. (more…)

Bethesda Defends The Elder Scrolls Online’s $15 Subsciption Fee

Bethesda Defends The Elder Scrolls Onlines $15 Subsciption FeeGiven the success of the The Elder Scrolls franchise, especially with Skyrim, many gamers are probably looking forward to getting their hands on The Elder Scrolls Online. The game is currently set for a release on the 4th of April, while the Xbox and PS4 version of the game will be released a few months later.

Interesting Bethesda will be adopting a subscription model for the MMORPG where they will be charging gamers $15 a month to play the game. This is in light of the current trend where developers opt for a free-to-play model where gamers will be able to play the game for free, but charge for in-game items, such as armor, or services to help them progress in the game. The Elder Scrolls Online Rumored To Have Cost $200 Million

The Elder Scrolls Online Rumored To Have Cost $200 MillionBethesda and ZeniMax Online will be releasing The Elder Scrolls Online later this year. The game will be arriving in April for the PC and Mac, and will be making its way onto consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 later in June. In the meantime we’re sure some gamers are wondering just how much money does it take to create an MMORPG such as The Elder Scrolls Online? Well if you were curious and wanted a bit of trivia, how does $200 million sound to you? That’s the figure that was recently tweeted by Superannuation, a person who has in the past been pretty accurate with their leaks and information. Unfortunately the tweet has since been deleted and we’re not sure why. Could it be that it was accurate and that the studios did not want the figure to be disclosed, or could it be that Superannuation got it wrong and removed it?

As it stands it remains unknown but for such a game to cost $200 million to develop is not completely out of the question. After all games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic did cost around that much as well, and had a larger production staff, meaning that The Elder Scrolls Online could cost around that as well. In fact a while back we reported that a game such as Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 cost around $265 million, so what do you guys think? Is The Elder Scrolls Online a $200 million production, and with that being said, does that mean we can expect a lot from it?

The Elder Scrolls Online Will Feature Microtransactions Within The Game

The Elder Scrolls Online Will Feature Microtransactions Within The GameA lot of MMORPGs are taking the free-to-play route these days. For those unfamiliar, going F2P means that the game is free to play, but will come with microtransactions within the game that charges players for features, items, powerups, and etc., as a means for developers to make money. The good news is that if you do not like the F2P model, The Elder Scrolls Online will be taking the subscription route, but at the same time it seems that they will be adding microtransactions within the game for gamers who don’t mind shelling out a little bit more money for extras. When it comes to massively-multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, one thing I think we can all agree on is how much senseless grinding the majority of them require in order to progress through the game. Sure – there are […]
