New The Evil Within Gameplay Footage Released

Earlier this year a new survival-horror game was announced the name of The Evil Within. The game is the brainchild of Shinji Mikami who was also the creator of the popular Resident Evil game, and who is expected to bring real horror back with The Evil Within. So far based on what we’ve seen without actually playing the game, it certainly looks pretty scary and for those hankering for additional gameplay footage, you’re in luck as the game’s developers have published a new train for the game during Sony’s press event which took place in Japan earlier today. The trailer is pretty ominous and grim and showcases some of the game’s environment, along with some of the monsters. The game has been pegged for a release in 2014 and if you’d like to see the horror you might be able to expect from it, check it out in the video above! So, who else is excited to get their hands on Mikami’s new game?

The Evil Within Gameplay Footage Leaked

Earlier this year we reported on a new survival-horror game titled “The Evil Within”, and for those who loved what they heard and saw about the game, we now have a short gameplay video which was taken illegally during the game’s presentation at QuakeCon held in Austin, Texas. The video is less than a minute long and basically shows some of the game mechanics along with some fight scenes, not to mention a rather gory decapitation if you were unlucky enough to be found by one of the monsters in the game. So far the game appears to be shaping up pretty well and Bethesda has also recently released six additional new screenshots of the game (via Gematsu).

For those who are hearing about the game for the first time, The Evil Within is an upcoming survival-horror game developed by Resident Evil’s creator, Shinji Mikami. The game has been described as a “pure” survival-horror game and according to the game’s description, it will be developed to bring players “to the height of tension”. In any case if you have a minute to spare and you want to see what The Evil Within has in store, check out the video above.

Shinji Mikami’s “The Evil Within” Officially Announced, Launching In 2014

Earlier today we reported that the game Bethesda had been teasing all along is none other than “Zwei”, the survival-horror game by Resident Evil’s creator, Shinji Mikami and his studio, Tango Gameworks. The game has now been officially revealed and is known as “The Evil Within”, and according to its newly launch official Facebook page, the game will be released in 2014 and will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and next-gen consoles, such as the PlayStation 4 and presumably Microsoft’s Xbox 720 (or whatever it will be known as at launch).

As we stated earlier, Mikami has designed this game to be a “pure” survival-horror type of game, and according to its description on its Facebook page, it will offer gamers “Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story weave together to create an immersive world that will bring players to the height of tension.” Mikami also stated that he will be very hands-on with this game to ensure that quality will be there, “rest assured,” he tells gamers. The debut trailer is a live-action one and to be honest is kind of creepy, but if you love horror-type games, be sure to check it out in the video above (via IGN)!
