Earlier in March during the Toy Fair, it was revealed that both the Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda franchise would be getting the Monopoly treatment, meaning that if you love Monopoly and you love either (or both) titles, it would be like the perfect marriage and a great way to get your friends together for some old fashion board games.

Now thanks to a listing by Southern Hobby Supply, the box art for both games have since been revealed and we have to say that it looks pretty good so far! As you can see on the image’s watermark, it has been marked as prototype which means that there is a chance that the artwork could change before its release which is currently pegged for the 21st of August.

Unfortunately apart from the box art, the interior of the box was not shown off, meaning that we still have no idea on what the design of the board could look like, or how the Pokemon and Zelda-themed board pieces would look like in real life either (we’re hoping that it would be really cool though).

However apart from the Pokemon and Zelda-themed locations and board pieces, we can only assume that the rules of the game will remain the same, but will just get an update/twist on it looks, but at the same time we reckon that Pokemon and Zelda fans/collectors out there would love to get their hands on it anyway.

In the past, we have seen some very convincing cosplays. At the same time we have come across some pretty shoddy ones that looks like the person did not put any effort into their costume at all. In fact some cosplayers go as far as recreating the costumes from scratch using quality materials, such as metal for weapons and so on.

However one should not forget that despite it merely being a replica, it is still a weapon at the end of the day, as one man found out unfortunately when he walked into a replica of the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda during a domestic dispute. (more…)

Maybe changing the perspective on the original Legend of Zelda is a little weird—everything looks so different here—but that’s exactly what makes this Oculus Rift version of the game interesting. Its almost like you’re playing (or in this case, watching) an entirely new game.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for gamers as not only will the Xbox One be released to the world, but Nintendo fans will be getting some pretty big games. One of which is the Nintendo 3DS-exclusive The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. A Link Between Worlds probably doesn’t need help in gaining the attention of 3DS owners, but just in case, Nintendo released a new trailer for the title showcasing a number of accolades it’s received from various outlets.

Along with the numerous praise The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has received from reviewers, Nintendo shows off more gameplay footage than you can shake a deku stick at. You’ll see Link battling his way across both Hyrule and Lorule as he alters his body several times throughout the trailer.

The new trailer also shows off a bit of the limited edition The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Nintendo 3DS XL, which we certainly have been drooling over ever since Nintendo announced its existence. Both the game and the Zelda-themed 3DS XL will be available for sale in the U.S. on November 22. If you happen to be attending a midnight launch for the Xbox One, don’t forget to pick either of these up as well!
