The Sims 4 Begin To Ship Worldwide In Autumn 2014

The Sims 4 Begin To Ship Worldwide In Autumn 2014In the middle of this year, Sims 4 has been confirmed, and we know that waiting can be quite a chore, especially since we live in a world where everything instant is always deemed to be a virtue. Well, here we are with word that The Sims 4, a game that was originally scheduled for a first quarter of 2014 release, has been postponed. However, not all in the situation is doom and gloom. We also know that The Sims 4’s delay will not be too long, as it is set to ship worldwide in autumn next year, as announced by EA and Maxis.

As mentioned earlier, EA did have previous plans to roll out the game in the first quarter of 2014, but they have not given a reason for this particular delay. Rachel Franklin, VP and general manager of The Sims Studio, said, “The Sims franchise has the best fans in the world and their passion and enthusiasm is at an all-time high. Those millions of voices will fuel our development process, helping The Sims 4 to be the most ambitious and the best game our studio has ever made. We can’t wait to see our fans reaction when The Sims 4 comes out in fall 2014.”

The Sims 4 For PC And Mac Release Confirmed For 2014

The Sims 4 For PC And Mac Release Confirmed For 2014

Earlier today we reported that The Sims 4 announcement was imminent, a domain registration strongly suggested it. That was indeed the case. Electronic Arts has now officially announced The Sims 4 for PC and Mac. The game will be releasing in 2014 and will be developed by Maxis. EA hasn’t revealed many details at this point in time, but have promised that they will be released in the near future.

Maxis said in a conference call with VIPs that The Sims 4 will head back to the very roots of the hugely popular Sims franchise. They also said that Sims behavior and the complexity of Sim-to-Sim interactions were being focused upon. Maxis says it was important that they unlock new ways for Sims to interact with each other. There’s an offline element of The Sims 4 as well, unlike SimCity which received a lot of criticism for its always-on DRM.  It has been confirmed that players will not need a persistent internet connection to play this new title. It was hinted that a fan event might be conducted towards the end of August for The Sims 4, though nothing has been confirmed as yet. No concrete release date for this new title has been provided.
