Pac-Man Plush With Sound

Everyone loves Pac-Man – wait a minute here, was it supposed to be Raymond? Nah, not really – at least not in this particular case. Everyone loves Pac-Man, never mind that you fed that arcade machine tons of quarters during your younger days, you still failed to master the game and it was always Blinky, Pinky, Inky or Clyde who got you eventually because of a lack of skill on your side. Well, now that you are all grown up, you still have not mastered the game, but at the very least your bank account is a whole lot healthier than when you were getting a weekly allowance from mom or dad. This gives you the means to pick up the $19.99 Pac-Man Plush With Sound.

Pac-Man is not just a yellow orb with a triangle for a mouth, but basically, he remains a fearsome warrior as long as he has the Power Pill in his tummy, allowing him to glow a ghastly blue and sending that quartet of ghosts packin’ in fear. Pac-Man has not only survived on pellets, a pittance of fruit servings as well as electronic ditties for decades, and is still going strong. The Pac-Man Plush With Sound could do with a hug, and in return, he makes a sound.

Tetris Heat-Changing Mug: Coffeecade

I know that this is probably sacrilege, but I actually was never that big of a fan of Tetris. It’s not because it wasn’t a monumental arcade game. Nope. It’s because I sucked at it. I’d start out strong, clearing lines with the best of them. But then, one difficult block would jam me up, and the death-spiral to the top quickly ensued. So my memories of the game aren’t very pleasant. But I still like coffee, so maybe I’ll buy one of these Tetris mugs anyhow.

tetris heat mug

Like many ceramic mugs on the market these days, the Tetris mug features images that change with the heat the beverage within. So while you can’t play an actual game on the face of this mug, at least you never have to worry about the bricks getting all the way to the top.

Want it? Get out a sleeve of 40 quarters, and pump them on into ThinkGeek’s coin box, where it sells for $9.99(USD).

Take Your Game Boy to the Beach Without Worrying About Getting Sand in It

Whether you’re Game Boy or a Game Girl, you need a new beach towel. You know you do. Especially if it looks like this. Inspired by the classic Nintendo Game Boy, ThinkGeek’s Beach Boy towel is the perfect thing for geeks having fun in the sun.

Of course, looks are about where the similarities with an actual Game Boy diverge. Not only does this thing not play games, it won’t fit in your pocket either. Still, it’s pretty great, and you don’t have to worry about getting this Game Boy wet or full of sand while playing a round of Beachtris.

So slather on a bottle or two of lotion and head on over to ThinkGeek, where you can get the Beach Boy/Game Boy towel for $19.99(USD).

Tetris Heat Changing Mug

For those of you who grew up in the 1980s and early 1990s, I am quite sure that you have been exposed to the game of Tetris across many platforms, be it at the local arcade, on the Game Boy (remember the Tetris Game Pak that allowed you to go head to head with another friend?), or across numerous 8-bit consoles and on the PC? Well, Tetris is far from dead, but in recent times has seen a mini resurgence of sorts. So much so that you can even bring Tetris with you the next time you decide to have a drink – best to go along with a hot drink, too, especially when you are using the $9.99 Tetris Heat Changing Mug.

The Tetris Heat Changing Mug boasts a screenshot in full color that depicts Tetris artwork on a mug, where it will include the classic Hold, Next, Level, and Lines segments. Needless to say, whenever you mix your favorite hot beverage inside, the colorful “screenshot” will also be jolted into life, even before the caffeine from your morning coffee hits your system to do the same to you, where it will change the “display”. This is an officially licensed Tetris collectible, and you will need to hand wash it, taking care not to put it in the microwave or dishwasher as heat will destroy the heat-changing part of the mug.

A Beach Towel Game Boy That Never Runs Out of Batteries

A Beach Towel Game Boy That Never Runs Out of Batteries

For a lot of us the original Nintendo Game Boy was the best travel companion we could have ever hoped for as a kid. Now, our phones provide suitable distractions during boring flights or car rides. But we’ve still got a soft spot for Nintendo’s old handheld, and feel honored at the chance to sprawl out on ThinkGeek’s $20 Beach Boy the next time we’re relaxing at the beach.

Tingling Electronic Spidey Sense Shirt

“My spider sense is tingling!” I am quite sure that many of us are now too familiar with that phrase, especially when you grew up on a diet of Spiderman, ranging from comics to collectible trading cards, Marvel Clix (remember that? I blew a whole lot of money on what are essentially useless pieces of plastic today), cartoons, movies and video games. Well, if you wished that you had at least one of Spiderman’s amazing powers, and his spider sense would give you a tactical advantage in school against bullies, then it is easier to pick up this $39.99 Tingling Electronic Spidey Sense Shirt rather than find a radioactive spider to bite you.

This is made possible thanks to a clip-on sensor that comes equipped with a vibration motor which is capable of detecting motion from 5 feet away. Turning it on is simple – press and hold it for four seconds, and you are good to go. Anything that is 5 feet away will result in a very slow pulse, while as the object gets closer, the pulse’s frequency would increase, naturally. Powered by a couple of AAA batteries, we are not too sure whether it can detect an incoming punch fast enough. Still got to work on those reflexes though.

Spider-Man Spidey Sense T-Shirt: My Wallet is Tingling!

Spider-Man’s Spider Sense alerts him to danger and allows his body to react on its own to avoid attacks. Thinkgeek’s Tingling Electronic Spidey Sense T-shirt on the other hand only alerts you when someone – or something – is behind you. But at least you don’t have to get bit by – or look for – a radioactive spider.

Actually there’s nothing special about the T-shirt itself. It comes with a clip-on proximity sensor that also has motors to make it vibrate. When someone approaches at least 5ft. behind you, the device will emit a pulse, emulating Spider-Man’s power. The pulses become more frequent the closer someone is to you. Wait… is this a naughty toy?

I wonder if it will still work if you wear it under a hoodie.

thinkgeek spider man spider sense t shirt 3You can pre-order the t-shirt from ThinkGeek for $40 (USD). It won’t be released until October, but I have a feeling it’ll be sold out way before then. I bet tinkerers will be selling replicas of the gadget online before we know it.

Slighter USB Rechargeable Electric Lighter

So your other half has been pestering you for the longest time to kick that smoking habit of yours, but somehow or rather, you find the lure of tobacco to be too powerful to resist. Since then, he or she has decided to give up on asking you to do so, and realized that you must be accepted completely – warts and all. Hence, if you happen to fall on the side who has been asking the other party to stop smoking and failed in your quest, perhaps it is time to play the role of “good cop” by getting them the $19.99 Slighter USB Rechargeable Electric Lighter.

Let’s face it – any other ordinary lighter just will not do, but an electric lighter – now there is something in which you do not see every single day. Most of us are used to gas-based or fluid-based lighters, but an electric lighter? It is certainly out of the ordinary, and we are glad to report that this is a weather-proof lighter, where it is capable of lighting up approximately 150 cigarettes before requiring a recharge. It does not use any gas or butane, and can be juiced up via USB, now how about that? Definitely the lighter to have during a zombie apocalypse, as long as you have a solar-powered energy generator, that is.

This Motion-Sensing Tingling Spidey-Sense Tee Has Got Your Back

Taking the geeky fanboy t-shirt to a whole new level, ThinkGeek’s just added this wonderful Spiderman tee to its collection that actually gives the wearer a Spidey-sense for when danger approaches from behind. But instead of a radioactive spider bite, a proximity sensor clipped to the back of the shirt provides the superpowers.

Talking Ted R Rated Talking Mug

I do know of parents who originally wanted to bring their kids to watch “Ted”, but after reading movie reviews online and realizing that this talking teddy bear is a whole lot more profane compared to the average playground chatter, they decided to settle for a different movie – which is more child friendly, too. I guess if you are one of those who are old enough to watch Ted on the silver screen, you too, can handle having a Ted-friendly mug in your office. I am referring specifically to the $17.99 Talking Ted R Rated Talking Mug, and as its name suggests, this mug has a mind of its own and can speak for itself, but it is all R-rated speech, so do keep this out of reach of little kids, all right?

After all, a mug is no good if you cannot put whatever you want in it, And with the Talking Ted R Rated Talking Mug, you can throw in coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soup, vodka, moonshine or absinthe, whatever drinkable liquid you desire, and your friend Ted will still welcome it, being by your side each time you take a swig. How does the Talking Ted R Rated Talking Mug work? Every time you lift it off a surface, Ted will mention a phrase from the movie at random, although his library is limited to just 5 phrases which tend to be full of swear words. It is powered by a trio of removable 3LR44 batteries.
