Mega Stomp Panic Audio Reality Costume

You know you are on to a winner here with the $39.99 Mega Stomp Panic Audio Reality Costume, especially when everyone else dresses up as a traditional witch, mummy, or even vampire for this coming Halloween. You can choose to be a robot, a zombie, or even an 8-bit hero – it does not really matter, as the Mega Stomp Panic Audio Reality Costume comes with clip-on motion-powered sound effects, where you are able to draw from its reservoir of 9 sound banks in all. One thing is for sure – the traditional costume which functions as a disguise based upon visual appearance will be no more, as you can now create a costume with but sound.

All sounds from the Mega Stomp are synchronized to your steps and stomps, which is ideal for giving out the illusion that you yourself are the maestro in orchestrating them, as though you were generating them yourself. It is more than enough to geek out even the most hardcore Halloween celebrating geek, and also to scare more neighborhood kids than most compared to your peers with their (now plain in comparison to yours) costumes.

ThinkGeek Mega Stomp Panic isn’t a Celtic dance team

Trust me when I say this new ThinkGeek gadget has nothing to do with dancing or rivers. The Mega Stomp Panic might be the perfect complement to that Halloween costume you’re going to be sporting in a few days. This device is a little box that attaches to your belt and creates sound effects to go along with your every step and stomp.

The device creates sound effects that are synchronized with each step you take making it sound like one of nine different creatures. You can see all nine of the sounds in the image below, but I’m particularly fond of the gigantic monster and the giant robot sound effects. You don’t have to wear a costume to get some enjoyment out of this device.

However, if you’re dressing up as a zombie for Halloween, this could be the perfect accessory for your costume. As you take normal steps, smaller sounds are produced by the little box you wear on your belt. A big stomp makes a larger sound. For instance, if you’re using the Rainstorm effect, each step sounds like you’re walking through water, and stomp makes it sound like you jumped into a large puddle.

Both the main box in the mini box have embedded LEDs that glow. Power for the device comes from for AAA batteries, which aren’t included. This device is available now for $39.99 in limited quantities. If you order one up right now and pick quick enough shipping, I bet you can get it in time for Halloween.

Star Wars Darth Vader Lunch Bag with Sound

Have you ever wondered just how Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith eats with that mask on most of the time? I guess only in his meditation chamber when his mask is removed, will he be able to dig into the latest that the galaxy has to offer on the gastronomic front. Of course, little Siths running around who are packed for Sith School will want to make sure that they do not leave home without the $14.99 Star Wars Darth Vader Lunch Bag with Sound.

The name of the Star Wars Darth Vader Lunch Bag with Sound says it all – a simple push button has been incorporated into the bag itself, where pressing it will result in a Darth Vader sound effect. It is 100% PVC-free with PEVA linings for that added peace of mind, is durable, insulated, and easy to clean – after all, you know just how messy kids can be. Just make sure that there are adequate batteries to keep the Star Wars Darth Vader Lunch Bag with Sound going in the long run, using the Force alone is not going to be enough.

Fastest Bottle Opener in the Galaxy Opens Bottles in Less Than Twelve Parsecs [Star Wars]

For all the Star Wars branded crap that’s been approved by Lucasfilm over the years, there’s the occasional stroke of genius like this bottle opener that reminds us why we love the films—and drinking. More »

Zen Wheels Precision Control Bluetooth Micro RC Car

Do you love playing around with remote control toys? Back in the days when there was no such thing as a mobile phone, remote control toys were the bomb. They might not have the kind of clout over kids these days, but they are still interesting to tinker around with once in a while. Thinkgeek has come up with the $89.99 Zen Wheels Precision Control Bluetooth Micro RC Car which is said to deliver “unbelievable proportional precision controls” right in the palm of your hand, and this particular ride might be small, but that does not mean “safety” is compromised, as it comes with fully functional indicator lights and a horn to boot. Toot your way around the home, indicating just where you would want to go with it!

The Zen Micro RC will be controlled via Bluetooth, so make sure you do not go beyond the theoretical 10 meter radius that a Bluetooth “bubble” normally takes up, and with the app ony our iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, you will be able to zip around the home with the Zen Micro as your “dog-on-wheels”, so to speak. Each purchase comes with 10 mini traffic cones and roll-over timing gate for that added challenge when you play with it around the house.

Jellyfish2 Color Lamp

There are sequels to movies, and if those sequels do particularly well, you know for sure that a prequel is in the works, or why not turn it into a trilogy? Well, you can say that the same somewhat applies to consumer electronics as well. There’s the Samsung Galaxy S, followed by its successor the S2 and now, the Galaxy S3 being Samsung’s flagship smartphone (phablets like the Galaxy Note 2 notwithstanding). What do you say to lamps for the home then? The $7.99 Jellyfish2 Color Lamp might be something worth looking into, where it comes in a slick and colorful form factor. With more than 16 million colors to choose from, you know for sure you have a truly unique experience each time it is turned on, and if you are one who loves change, then you can opt to have the Jellyfish2 Color Lamp cycle through all the colors instead of having a fixed color.

It does not matter whether this lamp is glowing in Chili Pepper, Blue Iris, Mimosa, or Turquoise amongst the other millions of colors, it will definitely be able to do its job in exuding a certain kind of glow which is not only charming but strangely comforting as well. The electronic glowing jellyfish lamp will plug into any standard US 110v outlet, so make sure you have an adapter if you do not happen to live in the US and yet want one of these puppies.

Brain Candle Looks Perfectly (Abby) Normal to Us

Yeah, I can’t believe it either, but Halloween is just weeks away. If you’re looking for some fun ideas to decorate your pad for every geeks favorite holiday, why not send Igor out to steal you a brain in a jar?

brain candle

The perfect centerpiece for any formal dinner, the brain candle is hand-sculpted to look just like real brains, floating in clear gel wax so it looks like something you’d find in Dr. Frankenstein’s lab-or-a-tory. Thankfully, this thing is unscented, as we’ve all smelled formaldehyde in high school biology, and that’s not something any of us would care to repeat – especially the dissecting frogs part.

So if you’ve got an open mind, head over to ThinkGeek now, where you can grab the brain candle for $19.99(USD). Igor promises you that it’s a totally normal brain.

Star Wars Supreme Edition Darth Vader Costume

So you have more or less run out of ideas on what kind of costume to wear for this coming Halloween season? Well, instead of playing on the sense of fear and dread with blood and plenty of make-up, how about becoming the embodiment of fear itself in the Intergalactic world as the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader? This is made possible thanks to a black faux leather jumpsuit with molded body armor, where it was molded straight from Lucasfilm studio designs for that added touch of authenticity. The thing is, the Star Wars Supreme Edition Darth Vader Costume has one major drawback – its price point of a whopping $999.99.

Still, if authenticity is right at the top of your list compared to other features, then you know for sure that the Star Wars Supreme Edition Darth Vader Costume is worth every penny that you forked out for it. It is as real as it gets, and to add to the realistic factor, you would do well to purchase your own lightsaber, although I do not think that banks are right now giving out loans to construct a Death Star.

ThinkGeek Announces 2012 Great Geeky Pumpkin Template Contest

October is here and that means we’re on the lookout for all sorts of geeky pumpkins. We’ve already found one supremely geeky pumpkin with the Death Star that we showed you this week. If you’re into geeky pumpkins, all you’ve got to do to win is come up with a pumpkin carving template design for chance to win some money and prizes, in ThinkGeek’s annual Great Geeky Pumpkin Template Contest.

The winner of the contest will get a $131 ThinkGeek gift certificate and a mystery box filled with cool ThinkGeek goodies. You can send in your templates until October 29, 2012. It sounds like the winners will actually be carved so we can see them. I happen to think the Nyan Cat pumpkin is one of the coolest templates ever.

If you hop over to ThinkGeek you can download templates submitted in past years’ contests including a Boba Fett template, Nyan Cat, and even Sheldon Cooper. I also have a soft spot for the Portal pumpkins and the stormtrooper.

Sawblade Frisbee Won’t Cut off Your Fingers When You Catch It

Whether you’re looking for an accessory to go with your Halloween costume, or just something to toss around out on the quad year-round, the Sawblade Throwing Disc is just the right thing.

sawblade throwing disc frisbee

While you could toss around an actual sawblade, I’m guessing you and your buddies would like to keep your fingers and other body parts intact. So this 10″ diameter soft foam flyer designed to look like a bloody sawblade should do the trick. Though I’d cover it with some dripping fake blood to make it more realistic before throwing it to my friends.

It’s just $4.99(USD) over at ThinkGeek, so why not buy a bunch and fling them around the room using your gravity gun.
