Bioshock Infinite Motorized Patriot Action Figure: Columbia! F-Yeah!

We saw an unofficial LEGO version of the Motorized Patriot a couple of weeks ago. But if you wouldn’t mind spending a little cash for something more detailed, check out NECA’s officially licensed action figure of the fearsome Heavy Hitter.

The action figure stands 9″ tall and comes with two tattered flags of Columbia, two interchangeable heads and a gatling gun.

The gun’s barrels move if you turn its crank, and the flags fit in the back of the action figure, just like its virtual counterpart.

Remote Control Mini Flying TARDIS: It’s Bigger on the Show

We all wish that we could have our very own TARDIS to fly, but sadly, unless we build our own, it is just not happening. Here’s an alternative. Just buy this three inch-tall remote-controlled TARDIS.

flying tardismagnify

You may not be able to fit in it, but at least you can fly it around through space, if not time. Maybe attach a Doctor figure to it for fun. This flying TARDIS takes off and lands vertically and you can control the spin. Sadly there are no sound effects, so you’ll just have to use your imagination.

You can get it for $59.99(USD) from ThinkGeek. Grab a companion and get flying. Adventure awaits.

Doctor Who R/C Flying TARDIS is a must have for Dr. Who fans

rc-flying-tardisIf you are an avid fan of the Dr. Who series, you would most probably have your fair share of DVDs (special editions and the rest of the regular airports) as well as merchandise in your home, but there is always room for one more, right? Having a remote controlled TARDIS does sound extremely appealing, but what happens when you spice that up to make it hover around? Totally radical, right? This is what the $59.99 Doctor Who R/C Flying TARDIS delivers, although you will need to deliver the *vworp vworp* sound effects by yourself.

The Doctor Who R/C Flying TARDIS is touted to be the world’s smallest of its kind (which should not come across as surprisin, actually), where it is also an officially licensed Doctor Who merchandise. Capable of performing vertical takeoff and landing, the Doctor Who R/C Flying TARDIS will require up to half an hour in order to charge, where that results in 6 minutes of continuous play time. There are no time controls on the remote though, so do not think that you will be able to travel through time with this – your imagination alone will have to do. Do have a handy supply of AA batteries though, and if you’re going to spend plenty of time with this, we’d suggest you use rechargeables in the long run.

PhoneSoap UV Smartphone Sanitizer ensures that your handset remains clean at all times

smartphone-sanitizerRemember Jack Nicholson’s character from the movie “As Good As It Gets”? He certainly has some issues with cleanliness that borders on a mental illness which needs to be treated. Most folks are not like that, but some of the paranoid androids out there who feel that their smartphones should remain extremely clean all the time might want to check out the $49.99 PhoneSoap UV Smartphone Sanitizer. I know, you do not put your smartphone into your mouth, which makes a toothbrush UV sanitizer a far more justifiable purchase, but this does not mean that your ear does not deserve a clean smartphone placed beside it at the start of each day.

The PhoneSoap UV Smartphone Sanitizer will rely on short-wavelength ultraviolet radiation in order to sanitize your phone, where the entire process takes approximately 4 minutes to complete. There are also holes which makes sure you can hear your smartphone go off during the sanitization process, leaving you with the option to attend to that incoming call, text message, or email. Arriving in either black or white shades, the UV Smartphone Sanitizer would also double up as a charger while it cleans your handset with UV light. As long as your device falls within the 6” x 3.7” x 0.7” dimensions, it should be able to fit in just fine.

LEGO Batman Key Light kisses goodbye to dark nights!

lego-batman-keychainHave you watched the LEGO Movie yet? If you haven’t, I would strongly recommend you to head to the nearest cinema and check it out. Full of laughter, the $11.99 LEGO Batman Key Light will certainly bring back fond memories of Batman and his girlfriend, Lucy. The thing is, Batman does not even know his girlfriend’s real name in the LEGO Movie, other than her nickname. Boasting of his snarky and deep voice, this is one cute LEGO minifig keychain that comes with a built-in flashlight.

Each foot is poseable by itself, where they will also come with a single super-bright LED each. Good thing that each purchase would already arrive with a battery in tow (which is replaceable, of course), to help you get started right out of the box. After all, Batman always saves the day. He is the world’s greatest detective, is he not? Hence, a little bit of darkness is not going to scare him away.

The Princess Bride: Prepare to Die Game: Inconceivable!

I have said it before; I am a big fan of the flick The Princess Bride. If you like the movie as much as me, and are into card games, you might like this one.

pbc 1magnify

The game is called The Princess Bride: Prepare to Die! The concept is simple; you have a bunch of cards that look like the “Hello my name is” stickers you might see at a company meeting. You have another stack of cards with random bad deeds that start with “You” and end with “Prepare to die!”

pbc 2magnify

The idea is you that a “judge” selects a name tag, then each other player must pick a funny “Prepare to die” card. Whoever the judging player picks as the funniest selection wins the round.

What you end up with is something like, “Hello, my name is Abraham Lincoln. You drank my milkshake, prepare to die!” I’m betting you just red that in a Spanish accent. The game is available for $29.99 from ThinkGeek.

bobinoIt goes without saying that most of us own a smartphone or at the very least, a mobile phone these days. clip-on-ledHave you ever experienced a situation (single folk need not answer this question as they are able to do as they please in their own domain without having to worry about anyone else living under the same roof not agreeing to having the lights turned on – or off, in this case. Pets? They will have to adjust to your lifestyle. The thing is, if you are married or living with your other half, then there might be some interesting disputes that go on behind closed doors. Star Wars Lightsaber Umbrellas: Saberellas?

If you have been reading Technabob for a while, you might recall back in 2012 when we mentioned some Star Wars lightsaber umbrellas that had surfaced. When these things first hit the market, they went for over $60 each, which is way too much money if you ask me. Our favorite seller of all things geeky, ThinkGeek, now has its hands on three versions of the Star Wars Lightsaber Umbrella, and they are much more affordable this time out.

saberella 1magnify

ThinkGeek has the Darth Vader, Obi-wan, and Yoda versions of the lightsaber umbrella for $35.99(USD). That is money well spent to stay dry. The shaft of the umbrella is anodized in the correct color for the blade of the saber when you open it.

saberella 2magnify

The Yoda version is green, Vader style is red, naturally, and the Obi-Wan version has a blue shaft. Each of the hilts is styled after the lightsabers used in the films. The umbrellas also have a silk-screened logo for the Jedi or Imperial forces and come with a shoulder holder.

These won’t protect you from ice storms on Hoth, but they might be good for those rainy days in the swamps of Dagobah.
