Even though it’s incredibly hard to believe and goes against sound Sun rises in the east and sets in the west logic, Chris Hemsworth (and to a lesser extent Thor) is not a perfect being that doesn’t make goofy mistakes. This gag reel proves he’s human after all! Just like us! And sometimes moments get awkward and sometime he falls and sometime he flubs up. But damn, he makes it look so fun to screw up.

We definitely need more cute stuff in superhero movies. Like Thor. Remember when Darcy calls his hammer “Mew-Mew?” Well, Etsy seller TwinsGeekShop has taken the nickname and created some literal Mew-Mew hammers. And they are pretty darn cute.

Of course these fabric hammers look like kitties, kitties that can beat you senseless. That is what they are made for, beating each other up with cuteness. Then throwing them on your couch so you can cuddle with them later.

Unfortunately, if you want some Mew-Mew Mjölnirs you may have to wait a while. The seller is based in Russia, and they’re currently sold out. PLus, shipping to the U.S. takes around 21 days. But it is totally worth it. Beating people with cuteness. Is there anything better?

With seemingly unlimited celestial power, it only makes sense that Thor should share a little bit of the Mjölnir Hammer’s capabilities with humanity when he’s not battling Loki or alien invaders. After all, a dead smartphone can be just as catastrophic to some people as the world ending. And while it might not be Thor’s exact hammer, this version of the Mjölnir is far more useful to humans addicted to their phones.

One of the strangest mythological weapons out there in my opinion has always been hammer wielded by Thor. Mjölnir is an interesting weapon in that reminds me a bit of the Excalibur where only one person can ever wield the hammer. Even the Hulk is unable to pick it up.

Blacksmith and armorer Tony Swatton operates a company called Sword and the Stone that makes weapons using methods similar to what they used in the old days. His hit YouTube series Man at Arms has featured a number of awesome weapon builds, and his latest is a replica of  Thor’s hammer similar to the one used in the upcoming film Thor: The Dark World.

The hammer was made out of sheets of chromoly steel and while it’s hollow, still weighs about 20 pounds. The entire process looks like it took a long time to complete and the finished hammer is impressive indeed. The only downside is that the hammer appears to be significantly larger than the one from the film.

Swatton says he plans on putting the hammer on display in his shop – but not before filling the hollow chamber with shot, to bring the weight up to about 200 pounds, so it’ll be impossible for mere mortals to pick it up.

This ridiculously awesome man made version of Thor’s hammer Mjölnir is so impressive that even our most Thor-like human Chris Hemsworth would have trouble swinging it around. Though it’s not quite the weight of 300 billion elephants, it’s the closest thing to Mjölnir on Earth. That’s because it’s made from 10 separate pieces of steel alloyed with chromium and molybdenum. At its heaviest, it can weigh over 200 pounds.
