Logitech acquires TT Design Labs, launches iPhone accessories

Many crowdfunded companies are just happy to get their products out the door, let alone to enter the big leagues — yet that’s where TT Design Labs finds itself today. As part of a move into mobile gear, Logitech has acquired TT Design Labs and is relaunching the young firm’s iPhone accessories for a wider audience. The starting catalog includes the Tidytilt Case, a $35 iPhone 5 shell with a Smart Cover-style flap, and the JustMount, a $25 magnetic wall mount for the Tidytilt and other metallic gadgets. Pre-orders for the Logitech versions are available now, and we’re told to expect deeper collaborations in the future.

TidyTilt Stand: The Smart Cover for iPhones

Have you ever wanted to mount your iPhone on your fridge? Or shrink your Smart Cover to work with your iPhone? Now you can do both thanks to TidyTilt. The stand part of this accessory is interesting, but what I find the most novel are that the magnets of the cover are strong enough so that you can mount your iPhone onto any magnetically-responsive surface.

It’s a multi-purpose cover that doubles as a kickstand, earphone cord manager, and iPhone mount. It’s definitely an interesting accessory, though it will undoubtedly interfere with your favorite case.

TidyTilt was part of a successful Kickstarter campaign, and is now available in stores for iPhone 4 and 4S. It sells from TT Design Labs for $29.95(USD) in six different colors. It’s also available on Amazon and other online retailers.

TidyTilt is not a mere mount

There are dime a dozen of iPhone accessories out there, and I am pretty much sure that you as an owner of the iPhone, you do have at least a single accessory in your collection. If you have not yet done so, perhaps you might want to reconsider your stance and settle for one – and if you have to pick just one, then you might want to consider getting the £23.99 TidyTilt which is said to come in black, blue, green, grey and pink colors.

For starters, the TidyTilt is not a solitary mount, as when you apply the magnetic strip to the back of your iPhone, it will become a totally different beast with the TidyTilt in tow. It will offer cord management as well – ideal for those who tend to go to sleep with their iPhone still on, only to find out that when they wake up, they are strangled by their own cord – but not so with the TidyTilt. It also doubles up as a sleek and simple fold-out stand, thanks to its magnetic frame and a handy, portable cable wrapping function.
