Smell Like Breakfast: Toast Perfume

Nothing smells more inviting in the morning than toast. If you want to conjure up images of hot toast and warm fuzzy feelings associated with a full stomach in the morning whenever someone comes close, then you might want to grab a bottle of the Federation of Bakers’ Eau de Toast.

It’s a toast-scented perfume that’ll give you the delicious scent of perfectly-toasted bread with every spritz.

Models at the London Fashion Week will be wearing the scent during the event. You’d have to wonder, though, if what they’ll be wearing has anything to do with breakfast or food, because that’s probably what everyone at the show will be thinking of once they get a whiff of this.

If you’re over 18 years old and live in the UK, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands, then you might have been able to score a free sample of the stuff before they ran out. For the rest of us who don’t live there, then we can only imagine the smell of this new scent. Obviously it’s pretty easy to imagine.

Doctor Who Toast Plush: Toasty-Woasty

Forget Jelly Babies. Forget fish fingers and custard. And please, let’s forget the Doctor pinning celery to his jacket. Toast. That’s the new Timelord’s favorite food. Hopefully the 12th Doctor will love toast. But if he doesn’t, here is a piece of plush toast dressed like the 11th Doctor.

You could call this incarnation of the Doctor crusty – even crumbly. It comes from Deviantartist chaoticteapot, who loves a helping of Timelord toast for breakfast. You’ll notice that he has the attire just right, right down to the fez. Best of all, this toasty doctor can be yours for just $28 (USD) over on Etsy.

Now for some reason I want to see his companions as breakfast foods. All on a TARDIS-shaped plate. But that’s just me.

Ida Skivenes’ Art Toast Project Features Famous Works of Art on Toast

You’ve seen food art at its finest, now how about a taste of toast art that’ll make you look at your morning slice of bread in disdain? Many people regard food as an adventure, rather than just something you need for sustenance or to fill your stomach. That’s the concept Norwegian food artist Ida Skivenes was going with when she embarked on her Art Toast Project, in which she turned toast into a canvas and used food as paint.

Ida took things one step further by recreating some of the world’s most renowned works of art instead of coming up with random subjects. For example, check out the colorful and 100% edible version of Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’.

Other dishes in the series include paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, and Dali.

The Image Toaster Brings Google Images to Your Breakfast

We live in the future, so chances are you’ve got all manner of gadgets flashing and beeping at you to remind you what’s happening on any given day. But your toast isn’t in on all that fun. Toaster USB Hub and Toast Flash Drives: Ready to be Jammed with Data

I’m sure you have a thousand and one flash drives by now, but as far as gimmicks go, you don’t see USB hubs with matching flash drives that often. Too bad this toaster USB hub doesn’t pop the flash drives out when they’re ejected.

The flash drives come in four variants, including one that seems to have been burnt to a crisp already:

The toaster also has an SD Card reader built-in. You can of course use the USB hub with any flash drive (and the toast drives with any USB hub), but, well:

Unfortunately, this delicious combo costs a lot of bread. ThinkGeek is selling the goodies separately, $28 (USD) for the hub and $25 for each of the 4GB drives, so for a fully-loaded four-slice toaster, you’re looking at $128.
