At the London Toy Fair 2014, VTech has decided that the recent trend in wearable electronics should apply to kids too. So the company’s new Kidizoom Smartwatch straps a 1.4-inch color touchscreen display, 0.3-megapixel camera, and various games, apps, and clock faces to your kids’ wrist for somewhere around $66.

When you have a newborn son and want to give him some cool toys, I can’t think of anything better than making something yourself. That’s what Jonathan G. did here, making these cool laser-engraved wood blocks for his child.
He started his work on them before the baby was even born, but didn’t finish until his son’s first birthday. Look at the image here and you will see why. These are some nicely detailed alphabet blocks, clearly made with love. There are 36 blocks in all. They cover the English alphabet and ten digits, showing 134 images of people, animals, monsters, robots, vehicles, organizations, devices, tools, and objects from some of our favorite movies, TV shows, books, comics, video games, and more.

Despite being a comedy, Ghostbusters packed a lot of convincing pseudo-science into its story, and the movie was chock full of wonderful—and incredibly desirable—props. And in the same way we don’t believe that a toy lightsaber will ever suddenly arc to life, we don’t believe this faithful reproduction of Egon’s Neutrino Wand will ever snag a wandering spirit—but that doesn’t make us want one any less.

We all ate play dough as a child. Anyone who says otherwise is lying—to themselves and everyone else. But there’s no reason to be ashamed! So how do you get customers to not only eat your questionable mystery meat products with a side of fries and come back for more? If you are McDonald’s, the key is to offer kick-ass toys. Many people will normally choose a healthier meal, but give them an awesome toy and they will wolf down whatever swill you are serving. I say, serve me up whatever you want, but just make sure you give me that BMO figure and I’m good. Cool?
A line of Adventure Time toys are coming to McDonald’s Happy Meals starting January 17th. Mathematical! These are the ones. There’s bendy versions of Jake and Finn, a channel-changing BMO, sword-swinging Finn, spring-action Jake, and ice-blast shooting Ice King.
Gotta get ‘em all. They should have no problem selling cheeseburgers and fries this month. In fact, I’m just gonna go claim my own table and live there for awhile. While I wait, I’m going to kill some time coloring:

There are many ways to being irritating to other folks around you, although you might think of yourself as being fun-loving instead. It is all a matter of perspective, don’t you think so? Well, assuming you would like to re-enact a modern day wartime scenario (the cutscene from Dune 2 certainly comes into mind about the insidious Ordos with their missile launchers), here is the $99.95 RC Rapid Fire Rocket Launcher that will be able to let you send physical projectiles to your targets who are across the room.
