Once upon a time (earlier this year) Asus announced its Transformer Book Trio; a Windows PC with an Android tablet hiding inside
Are you interested in picking up a tablet device for your everyday use? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you might want to check out what ASUS has come up with, in the form of the ASUS Transformer Book T100. The Asus Transformer Book T100 happens to be a 10″ tablet that will run on a quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail processor, where it will be accompanied by 2GB RAM, Windows 8.1 as the operating system of choice, and Microsoft Office 2013 Home & Student. Widely tipped to ship from this coming October 18th onwards, you will be able to take on the role of an early bird by placing a pre-order for an ASUS Transformer Book T100 that sports 64GB of storage space from Amazon for $399 a pop.
Of course, if you feel that your pocket is lighter than normal and you would like to have the best of both worlds but without blowing your budget, there is always the option of a more affordable $350 model, where it will arrive with half the amount of storage space – that is, 32GB. Regardless of which particular model that you have decided to pick up, they will arrive with a touted 11 hours of battery life, including a detachable keyboard dock so that you can use the Transformer Book T100 as a notebook as and when required.

ASUS teases October 23rd Vivo Book and Vivo Tab event, likens it to world history (video)
Posted in: Today's ChiliMost event teasers have at least some kind of grandiosity; we’re not under illusions that they have to be modest. At the same time, ASUS may have crossed a humility barrier with a teaser for an October 23rd event launching its upcoming Vivo Tabs and (possibly TAICHI- or Transformer Book-linked) Vivo Books. In the space of 42 seconds, ASUS likens the New York City announcement for its touchscreen Windows 8 devices to the Apollo moon missions, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and having a child — a bit much for slabs of aluminum and glass, we think. There’s not much to see of the systems themselves beyond what we already know, although Notebook Italia has noticed at least one reseller listing a Vivo Book S200 laptop with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, a Core i3, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive for €499 ($647). That price would go a long way towards ASUS’ promise of making touch “available to everyone…” we’re just not convinced it’s as important as Elvis.
