Football season may be months away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t daydream about tailgating. It’s the Transformers of tailgating!

Transformers Themed Hotel Room: Do Autobots Deliver Room Service?

There is no better way to get a nerd’s money than to decorate a hotel with their favorite toys. Do this and they’ll line up and drop their money in your account as if their mint, on-card action figures depended on it.

The Asahikawa Grand Hotel knows how to lure said nerds out of their basement dwellings… with a limited time only Transformers themed room.

Basically you will be sleeping under a Transformers comforter and playing with Autobots and Decepticons. So, not much different from home really. You just won’t have to put up with your mother yelling for you to wake up at 1 P.M.

The hotel actually teamed up with Takara Tomy to make the room possible. It has Transformers magic everywhere. Guests even get gifts that go with the Transformers theme. Pretty sweet!

Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark Video Game Is Official

A few days ago, an unannounced Transformers game was spotted on Amazon. As the game had not been announced yet, we could only assume by its listing that it was close to being announced. Well the good news for Transformers fans is that it is official as Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark has been announced during Hasbro’s presentation at the New York Toy Fair over the weekend. The game is expected to merge the canon in the games with those of the Michael Bay movies, meaning that we can look forward to a unified Transformers universe down the road. (more…)

This Is Too Awesome: DARPA's Building Real Flying Transformers!

This Is Too Awesome: DARPA's Building Real Flying Transformers!

Between their remote locations and the ever present threat of ambush (or worse yet, IED), it’s simply getting too dangerous to deliver the average 100,000 pounds of supplies that far-flung American forward combat bases require each week. Air drops by cargo plane or helicopter are one option, but DARPA researchers may already have a better solution: shape-shifting, cargo-carrying UAVs.

This video shows every single transformation in the Transformer movies

Man, do you guys remember how fun that Transformers trilogy was? Back when Shia was happy muttering no no no no when things went bad, back when we weren’t sure if Megan Fox was part of a new beautiful species, back when Michael Bay didn’t implode on a stage, back when it was just giant good transformers pummeling giant bad transformers.

Guy Builds Three-Story Optimus Prime to Propose to Girlfriend

Most guys just get flowers, maybe some chocolates, get down on one knee, and pop the question. On the other hand, building a giant Transformers replica tops everything else that you can do. One man in China did just that.

    transformers proposal 620x744magnify

Outdoing all other men, he constructed this 26-foot-tall model of Optimus Prime. It took him about 10 months to build it, all in the hopes that his girlfriend would say “yes.” This machine took 400 drawings, 40,000 rivets and nearly $10,000 worth of stainless steel and iron. There’s no way she could say no after this right?

Well, the news story doesn’t say what her answer was, but I’m guessing the answer was yes based on this image. This is how you get the girl and a cool statue at the same time.

She must be some catch for a guy to go through all this trouble. More than meets the eye.
