Volvo Concept XC Coupe To Debut At Detroit Motor Show

Volvo Concept XC Coupe To Debut At Detroit Motor Show Concepts are always interesting to play with, since many boundaries are broken down and you do not really need to figure out all the limitations that are available in the real world. Having said that, working concepts as well as prototypes, too, give confidence to the masses that something equivalent can roll out sometime down the road. The folks over at Volvo have announced that the Volvo Concept XC Coupe will be the second in line of three concept cars that will make an appearance at the Detroit Motor Show. In fact, the Volvo Concept XC Coupe is said to be inspired by modern high-tech sports equipment as a “sophisticated, capable and safe car for people with an active lifestyle”.

The Volvo Concept XC Coupe will come across as a two-door, four-seater ride, where it will seemingly share an extremely strong bond with its sibling Volvo Concept Coupé. As for its larger 21-inch wheels, more accentuated wheel-arches as well as taller roofline, those would tend to end up making the entire ride look a whole lot more robust with a fuller, capable representation. Good thing there are no more Twilight movies in the pipeline that will function as Volvo advertisements! Do you like what you see above?

Toyota Works On Hydrogen Station Network

Toyota Works On Hydrogen Station Network[CES 2014] Toyota, the name behind one of the most successful hybrid car models to date, the Toyota Prius, has just announced that they are working on setting up a network of hydrogen stations which might just feature pumps as well – and the places where such a network will be installed? We are looking at car dealers and perhaps even trash dumps, although the latter does not seem to be too conducive a place to have it. Toyota recently showed off its hydrogen-fueled FCV sedan, which is a concept version of the car Toyota will eventually sell in the US and Japan in 2014, and Bob Carter, Toyota’s U.S. group vice president, said, “We’re throwing everything against the wall. We know we have to push the infrastructure.”

Toyota is not the only vehicle manufacturer in this proverbial boat, as Hyundai Motor Co. as well as Honda Motor Co. too, have their own plans to sell hydrogen cars and crossovers to folks in California. California, after all, has strict state rules that require increasing numbers of “zero-emission” vehicles to be sold each year all the way through to 2025. At time of publishing, California sports approximately 10 public hydrogen fuel pumps, but we are looking at a possible target of another 100 more within the next 10 years.

This London Tube Map Is Designed For Colorblind Travelers

Harry Beck’s topological Tube Map is an instantly recognizable design icon, even for those who have never navigated the London Underground. Sure, the clean geometry makes it easy to figure out the best route, but it’s the variety of Pantone hues assigned to each line that gives it true at-a-glance readability. That is, if you’re not colorblind.
