Acer is hits back by launching their latest ultra-wide LCD monitor, the B296CL. Adopting an IPS panel, this 29-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 2560 x 1080 native resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio, 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 8ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. It also comes with built-in speakers and has DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. The B296CL is available now for $599. [Acer]

Adopting an IPS panel, this new 29-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 2560 x 1080 native resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. What’s more, it also supports Picture by Picture (PBP) functionality, has two built-in 1W stereo speakers and features a number of connectivity ports including 2x DVI-D, 2x D-Sub, 1x HDMI/MHL, 1x DisplayPort and a 4-port USB 2.0 hub. No to mention, it also comes with two built-in 7W stereo speakers, an adjustable stand and a number of connectivity ports including 1x dual-link DVI-D, 2x HDMI (1x MHL), 1x DisplayPort and a 3-port USB hub.
