Here comes a new line of USB 3.0 external hard drives from Buffalo, the HD-LLU3. Available in 1TB, 2TB, 3TB and 4TB sizes (black & white color options), these fanless hard drives feature a USB 3.0 connection interface, TV recording support, ‘Easy Lock’ function (to lock the data automatically when you disconnect it from the computer) and come with a TurboPC EX2 Plus software to increase up to 20% of data storage capacity. The HD-LLU3 will start shipping from late April for around $130 (1TB), $160 (2TB), $202 (3TB) and $277 (4TB), respectively. [Buffalo]

ADATA has released the 1TB model of its DashDrive Elite HE720 USB 3.0 external hard drive. Just like the 500GB model, this ultra-slim hard drive (8.9mm thick) features a brushed stainless steel case with 9H scratch resistance, a USB 3.0 connection interface, a bright blue LED light indicator and a one-touch backup button. Just like the 2TB and 3TB models, the 4TB model also comes with an aluminum enclosure, a USB 3.0 connection interface and supports for Windows 7/Vista/XP and Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later operating systems. Western Digital is preparing to launch a new line of USB 3.0 external hard drives ‘My Book Studio’ for Mac users. Coming in 1TB, 2TB, 3TB and 4TB sizes, these plug-and-play hard drives come with a metal enclosure and provide two different types of connection interfaces: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
