I-O Data hits back with their new USB 3.0 portable hard drive, the HDPX-UT. Measuring only 9mm thick, this ultra-thin 500GB hard drive features a brushed aluminum exterior, a USB 3.0 connection interface and a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption. The HDPX-UT will start shipping from mid-September for 11,130 Yen (about $140) in black, silver and gold color options. [I-O Data]
