Underwood USB Typewriter
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Underwood USB Typewriter is not exactly the newest kid on the block, and by jove, it is not even the most useful device to own on your desk. The thing is, there is a tinge of nostalgia attached to the Underwood USB Typewriter for baby boomers who are now rocking to their touchscreen devices like the iPad and Samsung Galaxy S3. For starters, the Underwood USB Typewriter is touted to be a fully functional keyboard for your computer – whether it runs on Windows or Mountain Lion, that does not matter.
Not only that, it brings back memories of yore, sporting the now irritating clickety click sounds as well as carriage return bells from the previous century. Heck, you can even opt to type with ink on paper – doing so while simultaneously typing on your digital device. The thing is, when you use ink on paper, there is no turning back whenever you make a mistake, unless you want to enlarge your Tipp Ex collection. Jack Zelkyn is selling the Underwood USB Typewriter on his Etsy shop, where a DIY conversion kit costs approximately $80. If you are too lazy to do so, then Jack will get the job done for you from start to finish at a rather hefty $699.
