Veronica Mars Movie Trailer Gives Kickstarter Backers Their Money’s Worth

It seems as if it only yesterday that a Kickstarter campaign for the Veronica Mars movie was initiated. In fact, it has been over a year and creator Rob Thomas has been regularly updating backers about the progress being made. More than 91,000 people chipped in money to fund this movie and the fact that the Veronica Mars movie trailer has been officially released certainly gives them their money’s worth.

Naturally there was a lot of interest in the campaign, which set out with a $2 million funding goal. One simply can’t underestimate the power of the internet, which brought together more than 91,000 people who contributed over $5.7 million for this movie, double than what was originally asked for, making it one of the biggest projects on Kickstarter. Kristen Bell stars as Veronica Mars and a number of favorite characters are returning, so fans will definitely be pleased. The official trailer is up now on YouTube and has garnered a fair number of views. The Veronica Mars movie is going to be released nationwide on March 14th. People who backed the movie will definitely be interested in seeing how the project turned out, just a couple of months left before they can all admire the main character, a lady detective who now has a fresh mystery to unravel.
