Killzone: Shadow Fall PlayStation 4 Live Demo Available For Your Viewing Pleasure

One of the new game announcements that impressed us the most during last night’s PlayStation 4 event was Guerrilla Games’ next Killzone title, Killzone: Shadow Fall. We’ve been fans of the Killzone series and the demo live demo last night probably couldn’t be appreciated by most people since we know the live stream probably didn’t offer the best quality possible.

Trust us when we say that in person, the Killzone: Shadow Fall demo looked amazing. As we said in our PlayStation 4 event wrap-up, the amount of detail that was shown in the game was truly jaw dropping. That’s why we thought you should check out the live demo for yourself without the constraints of last night’s Ustream video stream.

When you watch the video above, be sure to watch it as an HD video as you’ll be able to appreciate all of the finer details much better. If this is a glimpse into what next-gen video games will look like, then we’d gladly wait in line with our fists full of cash to partake.

New Gears of War: Judgment Video Highlights Multiplayer Modes, Weapons

News of Gears of War: Judgment being leaked onto the Internet has sparked Microsoft to take the initiative to reveal more information regarding the game. We’re sure hackers will soon upload portions of Gears of War: Judgment online, but you can be sure Microsoft-approved videos will be free of any spoilers so you can enjoy the game when it’s released next month.

Multiplayer is a huge part of the Gears of War experience, which is why Microsoft finally dedicated a video entirely to what we can expect from Gears of War: Judgment’s multiplayer modes. “The Guts of Gears – Multiplayer” video highlights the OverRun, Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All and Domination multiplayer modes. ASUS Teases Upcoming ‘Metallic Miracle’ MWC Announcement

Mobile World Congress is coming next week and our team is already en route to Barcelona to prepare for the onslaught of mobile content. We’re sure there will be a number of big announcements for upcoming mobile devices at MWC, one of which will come from ASUS as they released a video teasing their upcoming announcement.

The teaser video is called “Ultimate Craftmanship. Today.” and shows a UFO flying over Barcelona while people in the city watch it land on a church. The video then ends with a invitation to its viewers to “join ASUS to embrace the metallic miracle” on February 25, during Mobile World Congress.

We’re not entirely sure what exactly a UFO landing on a church in Barcelona means as we can’t imagine such an act results in the future of mobile technology. If we had to guess based on the video and the message, we could expect whatever ASUS has to unveil will be made of chrome or some other material made of metal. Haven’t the recent leaks of its upcoming Fonepad hinted at a metal back?

Rayman Legends Online Challenge Mode Hitting Wii U This April For Free

When you consider how much of a double-edged sword Ubisoft’s recent Rayman Legends announcement was, ultimately fans of the side-scrolling action title are left to suffer as there won’t be any version of the game released until September.

The delay not only affected fans, which we’re sure many of you took to your social network of choice to vent your frustrations, but it also affected the developers behind Rayman Legends. Because of the outpouring of support from its fans, Ubisoft has decided to provide some more Rayman goodness this coming April in the form of an online challenge mode. (more…)

Google Shows What Project Glass Can Do In ‘How It Feels’ Video

Google may still be considering what kind of features to highlight for its Project Glass, but judging by a recently released video called “How It Feels [through Glass]” published by Google, we think the company already has some good ideas of what exactly they want the device to do.

The video shows the interaction between the user and Google Glass can be minimal as by default, the device would project a small window at the top-right of the user’s view. Interacting with Google Glass would start with a phrase, which Google chose to make “OK, Glass” in this new demo. (more…)

New BioShock Infinite Trailer Wants Us To Fear Elizabeth

The last action-packed trailer for BioShock Infinite was released a few weeks ago, and today, Irrational Games has released a brand-new gameplay trailer which is titled “Lamb of Columbia.”

The Lamb of Columbia trailer focuses on both Elizabeth and Booker as we learn more about the mysterious damsel in distress, which possibly makes her Booker’s biggest threat in Columbia. We catch a glimpse of Elizabeth’s dimension-bending powers, which continues to confuse the heck out of us as to what exactly is going on with her. (more…)

USF Monster Tesla Coil Used To Play Super Mario Bros. Theme Song

We’ve seen tesla coils used for some pretty neat things recently like being used as a Nerf gun, but being able to bend electricity to your will in order to play the main theme song for Super Mario Bros. is probably one of the coolest things we’ve seen a tesla be used for.

Tampa’s University of South Florida X-Labs decided it was time to use their monster Tesla at full power in order to further show off their geekiness by having it play the theme song for Super Mario Bros. The video clip is short, but it’s nonetheless impressive seeing something that large, with that much power behind it, perform flawlessly.

According to the description of the YouTube video, the Tesla’s electrical arcs were over 10 feet with 220v of electricity pumped into the Tesla. It took two years for the X-Labs team to complete their monster Tesla, which resembled the one Nikola Tesla originally invented.

Apple Launches Two New iPad Commercials Highlighting Apps

Apple has started airing two new iPad commercials this week called “Alive” and “Together” that don’t focus on their iPads’ hardware specs since there hasn’t been a new iPad since November 2012. Instead, both commercials focus on the applications that were built to take advantage of both the iPad and iPad Mini’s unique features.

Not only do both commercials focus on a number of iOS applications, but they also are littered with such adjectives as “bright,” “loud,” “together” and “deep.”

10-Ton Meteorite Crashes In Russia Injuring Nearly 1,000 People

For the past week, news stations around the world have been mentioning an asteroid called DA14  is expected to pass extremely close to Earth some time on February 15. What we didn’t expect was for another completely unrelated 10-ton meteorite to crash to Earth earlier this morning in Chelyabinsk, Russia, which is located 950 miles away from Moscow.

When the meteorite entered the Earth’s atmosphere at around 9:20 a.m. local time, it flew across the sky at 33,000 mph and broke into pieces 18 to 32 miles above ground, according to a statement released by the Russian Academy of Sciences. (more…)
