Weatherman Draws Complete Forecast Due To Computer Trouble

We know in your workplace, computers are as important as the coffee machine. We conduct a lot of our business on computers, and when they go down, we’re often left either twiddling our thumbs or playing games on our smartphones while we wait for them to come back up again. When computers go down at news stations, it’s a different story since the news never stops.

Andrew Kozak is a weatherman from Tulsa, Oklahoma’s KTUL-TV who was experiencing issues with his computer just moments before his scheduled weather update. Instead of telling his fellow anchors he would be unable to give Tulsa and its surrounding cities the weather update they’ve been waiting for, he took matters into his own hands and gave them quite the unique weather forecast that we’re sure they won’t soon forget.

Kozak literally drew out the entire segment one pieces of paper, even going as far as drawing out the complete 8-day planner and even remembering to include the sponsor’s logo at the top-right of the forecast. After watching him deliver his forecast in a cool and calm manner, we can’t help but think he deserves some kind of raise after his amazing hand-crafted segment.

Our Galaxy Note 3 Text Got Ripped Off And Made Its Way To YouTube In New Splog Format

Yesterday, we reported on a rumor from The Korea Times which gave us a look into what the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could include, which would be a 6.3-inch display and Samsung’s new Exynos 5 Octa processor. The article was probably one of the finest pieces of literature ever written on the Internet, which is why it pains us to see the content of that article make its way to a YouTube video without our permission.

We were alerted to the video by commenter oi mate, which has completely taken the article we wrote and used some kind of text-to-speech software, threw in some lovely images and created a YouTube video with out content, word for word.

Look – we love doing what we do as there’s nothing more rewarding than to bring you stories, hands-on articles and random things of interest that the Internet has to offer. But it’s totally not cool to rip off our content, throw it into a YouTube video and hope it becomes something popular enough where you could get paid for it. So, YouTube user “TechArena7,” expect to be hearing from Google very soon.

If you’re aware of any other content of ours making its way to YouTube in a similar fashion, please let us know either in the comments section below or via our contact email address.

DeLorean Hovercraft Caught In The Wild In San Francisco

We’ve covered Back To The Future quite a bit here at Ubergizmo since we know, just like us, you’re all probably big fans of the films, TV shows and delicious cereal. We’ve seen hoverboards, sneakers and a LEGO set inspired by Back to the Future. But have you ever seen a DeLorean hovercraft? You have?! Well, let’s make believe you didn’t so the rest of the class could enjoy this video.

A few days ago, YouTube user Terry Barentsen happened to be in the right place at the right time as a hovercraft made to look like a DeLorean was seen driving around. Since it didn’t reach 88 miles-per-hour, it wasn’t able to travel through time, but we’re sure Doc Brown would still be proud of this creation, even though this thing doesn’t move quite as well as the real DeLorean, or even the hoverboard.

We’re not sure what exactly is going on with California as a RC Superman was spotted there just a few weeks ago. We’re just happy there are people around to record these bizarre instances so they can spread through the Internet life wildfire.

President Obama Signs Bill Allowing Netflix Users To Share Videos Through Facebook

We know there are people out there who have no issues at all sharing every aspect of their life online. Those people take photos of their meals, what they’re wearing and publish status updates any time they get off their couch. Soon, it’ll be much easier to publish what videos you’ve watched online through sites like Netflix now that President Obama has signed bill H.R. 6671.

The “Netflix Bill” was created as a way to update a previous law that made it illegal to share what you’ve been watching. Now that the bill has been signed by President Obama, users of online video services like Netflix can opt-in to share what they’ve watched through their social networks.

It’s unknown at this time when exactly these video services will make it possible to automatically publish what they’ve watched through social networks like Facebook, but something tells me these companies have been working on the feature for quite some time and are just waiting to get the final A-OK before they can start rolling it out.

PaperTab Teases A Future Of Bendable Interactive Tablets

[CES 2013] When you think how far tablets have come since the original iPad, we’re sure you’re impressed as years pass, they seem to be getting thinner while providing a better experience through improved screen resolutions among other things. But tablets becoming as thin and bendable as sheets of paper were something we’re sure none of you would expect to be possible, but Plastic Logic’s Paper Tab is exactly that, and it’s debuting at this year’s CES.

The Paper Tab is a flexible, 10.7-inch, paper-thin E-Ink display that was brought to life with a little help from their partners, Intel and Queen’s University of Ontario, Canada. Paper Tab allows the user to interact with it in a number of ways, such as bending portions of the tablet in order to move through pages or tweak corners of the tab to rewind and fast forward through videos.

What makes the Paper Tab even more unique is how each of the tabs interact with one another depending on their location as well as what each tablet is running. Emailing someone is used as an example as the user is able to write an email on one Paper Tab, while using another one to attach an image within the email.

Current prototypes are only available with E-Ink displays, but it’s said color displays are in the works and we could be seeing this technology become commercial within three to five years.

Hacker Baffles Cops By Strapping Clue To A Cat

A unidentified hacker in Japan is driving the state’s National Police Agency (NPA) crazy. Japanese policemen recently uncovered a memory card strapped into a cat’s collar. The cat was found wandering on an island in Toyko. Policemen believe the memory card held clues to the hacker’s notorious creation – a malware dubbed as the “Remote Control Virus,” which basically allowed the hacker to send out threats online while avoiding detection. On New Year’s day, messages were sent out to media outlets, inviting them to a new game which offered them the chance for a big scoop. It contained a number of complex puzzles, which eventually led the police to the cat. (more…)

Japanese Inventor Features Quick-Draw iPhone System In Mind-Blowing Montage

Answering phone calls by taking it out of your pocket or purse and placing it to your ear is so 2012. Now that a Japanese man has invented an iPhone quick-draw system, the only way we want anyone to answer their phone is by having it project out of their sleeve, to then hold it up to their ear in a super-cool manner.

The Japanese inventor featured in the video above shows a number of his prototypes for a quick-draw iPhone system. Some prototypes completely fall apart, while others shoot the iPhone out of his hand at screen-cracking speed. Ultimately, the inventor produces just the right prototype for him to begin using it for its obvious purpose: to perform a montage of cool-looking action moves, ending with answering his iPhone.

For some strange reason, at one point in the video, the inventor equips the quick-draw iPhone system to his legs. A moment later, he performs a quadruple quick-draw that makes us immediately wish we had such a system available to us right now.

The prototypes the Japanese inventor comes up with reminds us of the hidden blade assassins from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed game uses. Except with the hidden iPhone system, you’ll be way more nerdy and a lot less deadly.

Man Charged For Videotaping Deputy

andrewhenderson Man Charged For Videotaping Deputy28-year old Andrew Henderson from Little Canada was filming Ramsey County deputies arresting a man, when an officer approached him and took his video camera. The deputy was Jacqueline Muellner. “We’ll just take this for evidence. If I end up on YouTube, I’m gonna be upset,” Muellner said. Thankfully, Henderson was able to record their conversion on his phone and has posted them on YouTube. Henderson insisted that what he did was completely legal. A week after the incident, Henderson was charged with obstruction of legal process and disorderly conduct. (more…)
