Powered by a powerful dual-core ARM processor and running on Android 4.2 OS, this new 84-inch LED-backlight 6-point simultaneous touchscreen display provides 3840 x 2160 4K native resolution, 4000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 8ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. Not to mention, it also comes with an 8GB of storage and two built-in 15W stereo speakers, and has 2x HDMI, 2x D-Sub and 1x RS-232C connectors. The CDE8451-TL is available now for $18,999.99. When it comes to dual-booting tablets, ViewSonic is no stranger to the scene. In fact back in 2011, ViewSonic had the ViewPad 10 which ran both Android and Windows 7, and perhaps looking to be a bit more relevant, ViewSonic has released the ViewPad 10i which has since made its way online where it is priced at $530 and is available for purchase. So for those who are looking for a tablet that runs both Android and Windows, the best of both worlds some might say, perhaps the ViewPad 10i might be of interest to you.
So what kind of specs does the ViewSonic ViewPad 10i pack under the hood? Well the device will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800. Not the highest we’ve seen in a tablet but we suppose it is more than enough to get the job done. The tablet will also be powered by an Intel Celeron N2910 Bay Trail quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 64GB of SSD storage, 2MP cameras (front and back), and will feature a 7,000mAh battery that should be good for about 6 hours. The tablet will also run both Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8, which we guess is a step up from the original ViewPad 10 that still ran of Froyo. Unfortunately for those looking for cellular connectivity, that seems to be out of the question as the tablet seems to be WiFi-only.

We’ve heard of smartphones, smart TVs, smartwatches, but smart displays? Granted this isn’t exactly new but it’s not one that we regularly come across but that is exactly what display manufacturer, ViewSonic, has recently announced. The company has recently announced their second-generation smart display which comes in the form of the VSD241 and is a 24” monitor that comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with an NVIDA Tegra 3 quad-core chipset under the hood. There is also a smaller VSD221 which is presumably the same device, just with a smaller screen at 22”.
Apart from the rather interesting notion of a display running Android (which makes it sound like a giant tablet), the VSD241 will feature HDMI connectivity that will allow it to pair with laptops or tablets, along with two full-sized USB 2.0 ports, a micro USB and mini USB port, SD card storage, an Ethernet port, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, and can be used as a standalone device or as an extended display. Priced at $499, the VSD241 will be available for purchase starting from today, while its smaller 22” VSD221 sibling will be available in December for $399.

ViewSonic PJD8 Series Projectors Deliver Dual Pen Interactivity and Advanced Connectivity Technology
Posted in: Today's ChiliViewSonic does not only roll out monitors and TVs that hit the sweet spot in your bank account without breaking it, they are also involved in other aspects of the imaging business, and ultra-short throw networked projectors are another revenue earner for the company. In fact, ViewSonic has just announced their latest PJD8 series that will come with a wide range of features including dual pen interactivity and advanced connectivity functionality. Do expect to see the projector models such as the PJD8353s, PJD8653ws, PJD8333s and PJD8633ws appear in catalogues really soon.
Since these are ultra short throw, networkable projectors, they can be mounted right above a whiteboard or screen without the need to create hot spots, shadows or casting bright light in front of the presenter. Not only that, the internal Crestron LAN controller makes life a whole lot easier for IT administrators, as they can remotely control and manage multiple projectors from their workstations. The inclusion of AMX Device Discovery certification opens the door for easy integration, and you will also not get short changed when it comes to imaging quality, as all PJD8 series projectors will feature BrilliantColor technology, a 2600-3000 ANSI lumens brightness, HDMI connectivity, integrated 16w speakers, LAN control and DynamicEco, dual pen interactivity, and a mobile app for smartphone and tablet functionality.
