Walking Dead: Game Of The Year Edition Listed On GameStop

Walking Dead: Game Of The Year Edition Listed On GameStopAre you a fan of The Walking Dead series, whether it is the comic, the TV mini series, or the game? Well, if you have a love for all things undead, then you might be pleased to hear that The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition has been spotted on a GameStop listing.

This particular listing points to a June 17 launch later this summer on the PlayStation platform by GameStop, and any other details remain scant where the product is concerned. However, using Sherlock Holmes’ art of deduction, one will be able to figure out that The Walking Dead PS4 will arrive with the entire first season, in addition to the bonus episode of 400 Days, at least according to the box art.

It remains to be seen whether this is an official title that will be hitting the PS4 as TellTale has yet to shed any additional light on the situation. Do bear in mind that TellTale did drop hints which would point us in the direction of The Walking Dead arriving on the PS4 and Xbox One previously, so who knows – an official announcement might just be in the pipeline in the days ahead. After all, we have already seen this game on the previous generation of consoles.

The Walking Dead Beach Towel Is Perfect for Vacations on Dead Island

The winter was long and cold in many parts of the country, but thankfully it’s almost over for most of us. If you are gearing up to hit the pool, lake, or beach sometime soon you may need a new towel to take with you. Fans of The Walking Dead will be hard pressed to find a cooler towel than this.

This is a Walking Dead officially licensed towel that says “Don’t open, dead inside.” It has chained doors and zombie hands reaching through to eat the yummy meat sack on the other side.

The towel is made from cotton and no walkers were harmed in its construction. It measures 59″ x 29.5″ and can be purchased for $19.99(USD).

I’ve always wondered why no one set up camp on a beach since you wouldn’t have to worry about Walkers sneaking up behind you. The beach is a good idea unless Walkers can swim or creepily walk across the bottom of the ocean and pop out unexpectedly.

Walking Dead Tribute Beer Is Made With Real Brains, Of Course

The folks at Dock Street Brewing Co. really love beer. They also apparently really love AMC’s The Walking Dead. Putting these two loves together was a no-brainer. Or wait. The exact opposite of that.

3D Printed Jumbo LEGO Minifigs: Children of the Corn Starch

LEGO opened Cuusoo to let fans pitch ideas for play sets. But if you have a 3D printer, you don’t have to wait and beg for a minifig of your favorite character. Just do what Michael “Skimbal” Curry did and make the minifigs yourself. Skimbal even made his minifigs four times larger than the official LEGO citizens.

Skimbal started with a blank jumbo minifig and went wild from there. Although he hasn’t shared new models for about a month now, he already has several popular characters ready for you to download.

See that headcrab zombie minifig? Half-life 3 is a better bet than an official LEGO version of that. Or maybe not. I may be underestimating Valve Time. Print a browser then head to Thingiverse to download Skimbal’s minifig 3D models.

Special Microsoft Walking Dead TV Commercial For Windows Released

It was at the beginning of this month that we brought you word that Episode 1 of The Walking Dead will be made available free on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Well, for fans of Rick Grimes and his merry bunch of survivors who have seen far better days before the undead plague hit them hard and fast, here is some more news to keep you satiated. It seems that Microsoft has rolled out a special Walking Dead TV commercial for the Windows platform.

In fact, it was over the weekend that the Windows 8 Walking Dead Story Sync app made an appearance over in the Windows Store, which also happened to showcase pictures of the making of the latest Walking Dead-themed commercial for Windows. As the season premiere of The Walking Dead Season 4 had already happened, Microsoft decided to upload the whole ad which was shown during the episode to YouTube so that the masses will be able to enjoy it.

The ad itself will see a continuation of the storyline from the two previous Walking Dead ads, where the young couple who came together could thank the show as well as Windows 8 as the catalysts for doing so. These love birds happen to move in together now, as the man has a Lenovo Yoga as his computing device of choice, Skyping with his girlfriend on Windows 8.1

Walking Dead Animated Teddy Bear Girl makes it just in time for the Season 4

walking-dead-animated-girlSince we are about to approach the end of October, that can only mean one thing – Halloween is well on its way, which means one ought to start making the relevant preparations in place, such as party favors, candy, and of course, presents for those whom you think deserve one. To set aside $199.99 for the Walking Dead Animated Teddy Bear Girl is a sign that you are an avid fan of the rather graphic comic series which has since seen a TV series (the fourth season is about to premier!) and a computer game to boot. This is an officially licensed Walking Dead memorabilia, and would definitely be an unforgettable addition to your Halloween collection as it comes in a life-size reproduction of a zombie girl.

To make things creepier, “she” is voice activated, pretty much in the same way that noise more or less attracts zombies in both the comic and TV series. Something about zombies do bug me, however, why can’t we wait until all of their teeth have rotted out, that they are unable to sink into our juicy flesh? Well, that is just one aspect of my doubt for this genre of undead, but then again, millions of Walking Dead fans cannot be wrong, and the awesome first time we saw Rick Grimes in the TV series get confronted by a girl wearing teddy bear slippers, and yet is deadly, is one that remains seared in my memory. Since she’s sound activated, it would be the ideal tool to have to scare trick or treaters who walk up your home. Powered by a quartet of AA batteries, she won’t rot – ever, and does not need to survive on human brains.

The Walking Dead Debit Cards: Because Zombies Don’t Carry Cash

Just because they’re dead doesn’t mean they approve of your shopping habits. There’s nothing they can do about what you buy or don’t buy, but they can remind you that there’s more to life than shopping by showing you their dead and zombified faces every time you take that little plastic card out of your wallet..

..provided you’ve got one of these special edition prepaid debit cards, that is.

    Walking Dead Credit Card1

The artwork on these cards is by the talented Charlie Adlard, who is currently the primary artist for Robert Kirkman’s highly-acclaimed The Walking Dead series.

The art might look familiar, but that’s probably because they’ve already been published in the comics or in the graphic novels that collect a set of issues of the series. My favorite one features the zombified versions of Rick, Michonne, and Andrea shown above.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Footage Spotted

It is just a few more days before AMC’s The Walking Dead resumes its third season on terrestrial TV, but in the meantime, why not entertain yourself with a trailer of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct? While there is no actual gameplay in the video above, you will be able to indulge in a little bit of in-game footage. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is tipped to arrive at stores later this March, but are able to place your pre-order from now on, and GameStop and Amazon.com are more than willing to rake in your hard earned dough.

For those who want to reserve a copy of the game, you might want to jive with GameStop as pre-orders will be rewarded with a Herd Mode that has been described as follows, “How many frenzied flesh-eaters can you survive against before joining their ranks? Take on endless waves of walkers, each more dangerous than the last, in the all-new Herd Mode. Each wave of undead held off brings with it a new outbreak of hungry biters and new opportunities to rack up an even higher score.”

Should you decide to dance to Amazon.com’s tune, their pre-order bonus would be the Walking Execution Pack which features a “unique” weapon kit that will unlock several melee items such as a survival knife, sawtoothed machete, kukri, hatchet, and advanced machete.

R2-D2 and Walking Dead Surfboards Look Gnarly, Dude

What are geeks taking to the beach this year? I have no idea, because it’s freezing cold where I am. But surfer geeks should be checking out these fun Walking Dead and R2-D2 surfboards. They’ll let you catch a wave while you fly your geek flag proudly.

I think the R2-D2 design is the best -acting as a surfboard is just one more facet of this versatile maintenance droid we weren’t aware of until now. On the other hand, I feel like the Walking Dead board would attract sharks. Zombie sharks.

These were first spotted by Katie Graef at the 2013 Surf Expo in Florida, where I’m sure they were a huge hit.

Both of these were airbrushed by Josh DelRocco of Ricky Carroll Surfboards. They do good work. If I surfed, I would buy something like this in a heartbeat.
