Samsung delivers Evernote on the WB250F SMART camera

samsung-wb250fWe do come across a slew of smart devices in this day and age, ranging from smart cars, to smartphones, smart houses, smart windows, smart buildings, a smart TV, smart watches, and heck, why not thrown in a smart camera into the mix as well? Samsung did embark on the path of smart cameras in recent memory with the Samsung WB250F SMART camera, but this time around, the South Korean consumer electronics giant has decided to take a slightly different route by announcing the integration of Evernote into the aforementioned WB250F SMART camera. When you use the power and potential of Evernote with Samsung’s SMART camera 2.0 technologies, users will be able to discover a new method of capturing and synchronizing photos across any device that already comes with Evernote installed.

This particular new Evernote feature integration has been made available to those living in the US already, where it can be enjoyed after one performs a software update to currently-owned and newly-purchased WB250F SMART cameras. Each purchase of the WB250F SMART camera will now be accompanied by three months of the Evernote Premium service (that happens to work out to a $15 value), which will also comprise of a higher upload allowance per month (of up to 1GB), additional sharing options and faster image processing.

Ron Gazzola, Vice President of Marketing for Digital Imaging, said “Consumers want to take great pictures that they can share with their family and friends. With the addition of Evernote to Samsung’s WB250F, users can now seamlessly sync their images across devices and share their photo memories with other Evernote users.”

With this Wi-Fi enabled Samsung Smart Camera, the WB250F will let you share whatever images you have just captured on social networks or via email as long as it remains hooked up to a working Wi-Fi network. After integrating it with Evernote, it provides you another method of making use of your photos, where you can instantly and securely synchronize your freshly snapped photos to the entire range of your personal devices – as long as they have Evernote up and running, that is. Don’t you think that this certainly makes life a whole lot more convenient?

Samsung WB250F Smart Camera Gets Evernote Photo Sync Support

Samsung WB250F Smart Camera Gets Evernote Photo Sync SupportThose who use the Samsung WB250F Smart Camera in the U.S. are in for a treat. Samsung has partnered up with Evernote to bring photo sync support, this means that users will be able to sync their photos with any mobile device or computer that has Evernote installed and configured with one particular account.

The camera is equipped with Wi-Fi, which already allows users to sync photos with a tablet or a smartphone while shooting. The camera is also capable of e-mailing pictures straight from itself. Users also have the ability to back up photos to SkyDrive from the camera. Users will obviously need to connect to a Wi-Fi network before they can sync photos to Evernote. Alternatively, one can also tether to a smartphone’s data connection, but that would result in astronomical data costs. This 14.2 megapixel camera is capable of taking decent photos and is a good option for those who want to use traditional point and shoot cameras instead of the ones on their smartphones for casual photography. The new firmware update that enables Evernote sync for WB250F is now available from Samsung’s support website.

samsung wb250f Samsung WB250F Smart Camera Does Style And Performance In One[CES 2013] Since we are at CES, you know that Samsung is going to wade knee deep into the world of TVs and another market that they have taken a liking to – digital cameras. This time around, it would be the new flagship Samsung shooter under the WB long-zoom series that will come under scrutiny, with the WB250F leading the way (and the WB200F in tow, of course), where it is touted to deliver outstanding optical performance thanks to its 14.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor (the WB200F comes with a CCD sensor instead) and 24m lens alongside 18x optical zoom.

Sporting a classic looking design, it will feature a hybrid touch interface on the touch LCD display and 5-way navigational keys, so that you can adjust the controls accordingly. A full manual model option would definitely make photographers who want to have complete control over the camera’s settings more than happy. It will stash all captured photos and videos via its SD memory card slot (up to 64GB). Out later in this quarter, the Samsung WB250F will retail for $250 a pop, coming in black, white, red or gun metal shades.
