Life-sized Dalek Wedding Cakes: Doctor Chew

When you have (almost) life-sized Dalek wedding cakes, it must feel like you are being married at gunpoint. Plunger-point? MARRY HER OR BE EXTERMINATED! Okay, okay, I’m walking down the aisle already!

These cool Dalek wedding cakes were made by Dinkydoodle Designs and are probably the largest Dalek cakes we have ever seen. Each of these edible Daleks stood five feet-tall, but they weren’t the only Daleks at the wedding. The couple also had a Dalek ice sculpture and a sculpture with a Dalek and TARDIS on top of it. I’m sure the Dalek cakes were the main attraction at the event though. Aside from the bridal party that is.

They look deadly and delicious at the same time. Congrats to the couple on a great wedding and some amazing huge and intimidating cakes.

Steampunk Dalek Cake Toppers: Wedding Cake! Wedding Cake!

There is no better way to exterminate the past and usher in the future, and celebrate the institution of marriage with Daleks. As long as the Doctor doesn’t show up and ruin everything anyway. There’s nothing worse then a Dalek-themed wedding where the Doctor crashes it and blows up the Daleks because he thought they were misbehaving, only to then look around and see his mistake and apologize. Wedding ruined.

… at least until the good Doctor changes history and makes it right again and invites you all into the TARDIS that is. It’s all better now.Now it’s a crazy timelord party. And all thanks to a Dalek cake topper from Etsy artist gammarayrobots, who has lots of other cool stuff too.

This topper will set you back $95(USD) which is a complete bargain compared to what the rest of your wedding costs.

This is Every Lego Lover's Dream Wedding

So, you’re thinking of walking that plank they call marriage? Sorry, that sounds cynical. What I mean is, "Are you ready for a lifetime of marital bliss, where everyday is full of rainbows and sunshine?" There’s no better way to say "I do" than with Lego.

Batman Wedding Cake Has a Secret Identity: Two-Face Cake

How awesome is this? This Batman cake has a secret identity, just like Batman himself. By day, it is a beautiful mild mannered wedding cake, but by night it is a dark and sugary guardian of Gotham.

Bruce Wayne can eat from the front half when attending the wedding, then at night he can get icing all over his cowl when no one is looking. It was made by New Zealand based Stiletto Studio who knows how to make an amazing wedding cake that even Two-Face would love.

Cut it in half and you can please the traditionalists and the geeks in one shot.

Lightsaber Wedding Cake Knife: An Elegant Cutlery for a More Civilized Age

Any wedding planner will tell you, God is in the details. It’s all well and good to have your Star Wars invitations, the best man dressed like an Ewok and a Star Wars cake, but you have to have the little details too. Take this awesome lightsaber cake knife for instance.

Use your lightsaber to cut the cake. It is the way Jedi do things. And if you want to make your own, rather than waiting for an old hermit to pass your father’s down to you, you can find instructions here.

K-9 Was the Ring Bearer at This Wedding: Here You Go Master

I can’t imagine anything neater than having a Doctor Who-themed wedding where K-9 is the ring bearer. For her wedding, Kelsie Curtis’ dad made her a replica remote controlled K-9 bring the rings to the bride and groom.

It is a pretty authentic looking K-9 too – not just cobbled together with hot glue and duct tape. But that wasn’t all. Dad also made the couple a TARDIS cake topper, made out of wood and with a pulsing light on the top. Okay Dad, that’s awesome. Just stop there and you already get the prize for coolest dad.

Nope, he wasn’t done yet. How about a sonic screwdriver cake cutter? Way to win the dad lottery.

LEGO Wedding Dress: Do You Take This Brick?

So you have a LEGO purse and LEGO shoes, now all you need is the dress to go with. But this isn’t just an everyday dress – this is a wedding dress, made entirely from LEGO bricks.

    lego wedding dress

The LEGO dress was designed by Japanese artist Rie Hosokai – inspired by his prior work – a similarly-shaped wedding dress made from balloons. It was created for the Piece of Peace LEGO exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.

Unfortunately, it’s completely immobile, so the groom and wedding party will have to come to the bride, but that’s a small price to pay for such an awesome work of LEGO construction and creativity.
