Picking out the right bottle of wine to take to a dinner party is too often a tough task, so many people go with the pick-the-pretty-label approach. And of course, you want to send the right message. With Vino Loco, that message is loud and clear: You crazy.
Everyone loves wine—or rather, everyone likes to seem like they love wine. And what better way to give off an air of sophistication than to be able to offer perfect recommendations, pairings, and analyses on any wine at a moments notice? Delectable lets you do all that with absolutely no preparation required.
The next time you hold a high class party that’s all posh and sophisticated, break out this wearable drinking glasses and kick things up a notch. They are like ring pops, but for adults. And they hold alcohol, not candy.
These are from designer Merve Kahraman, who has developed a whole selection of these wearable mini drinking glasses, called the “Seduction Series.” When regular glasses are not fancy enough, these ring glasses will make things even more special.
Plus, it would be fun to see everyone with their nose up in the air spilling drinks all over themselves trying to use these. Not so high and mighty now are you?
Motorhead Sacrifice Boxed Wine
Posted in: Today's ChiliNormally, one would not associate a rock band with wine, as the latter is more often than not reserved for more, er, “refined” music, but beer – I think most folks would be able to resonate with beer and Motorhead going together. Still, there are always exceptions to any rule, and the same can be said of the £29.99 Motorhead Sacrifice Boxed Wine. What looks like a classic guitar amplifier is actually a box of wine, carrying up to 3 liters of rich and fruity Vintage Shiraz.
The legendary English rock band has had an extremely illustrious career that spanned nearly 40 years, having shifted more than 30 million albums along the way. So, in order to celebrate Motorhead’s achievements if you are a real fan of theirs, how about picking up the Motorhead Sacrifice Boxed Wine? It was specially modeled to resemble a classic guitar amplifier that boasts of their now familiar snaggle-toothed logo, although purists might be rather sad to see the controversial phallic tongue missing, with it paying homage to their last album that featured the late guitarist, Würzel. The wine inside has been described to carry a fruity aroma with notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, vanilla and fine licorice, in addition to a slightly peppery overtone.
Lemmy himself wrote in the album sleeve notes, “Put it in your system and your girlfriend’s clothes fall off.” Hmmm, interesting side effect, no?

There are plenty of ways to open a nice bottle of wine, but they all involve the avoidable decision to finish the bottle (or risk the weird-tasting leftovers). We can do better than this, people. A new opener from Coravin aimed at connoisseurs lets you drink one glass at a time, by performing what amounts to a surgical procedure on your bottle.
Love wine? Love soda? Even though the Rouge Sucette contains elements of both, there’s no guarantee that you’ll love it though. It’s a Coca-Cola-flavored wine by Châteaux en Bordeaux’s Hausmann Famille, and it’s going to be relesaed next month.
Rouge Sucette, which translates to ‘Red Lollipop’, contains 75% wine, 25% sugar, water, and a whole lot of cola flavoring. Of course, you could probably just mix wine and Coke in your own home, but it’s not going to be the same, that much I can tell you.
What do you think? Fun concoction or weird booze?

You’re going to have some friends over for a cocktail housewarming party. No problem, you think to yourself, I’ll just pick up some glassware at Crate & Barrel. You get there, and panic sets in. It’s an absurd, transparent cornucopia of tumblers and flutes and who knows what else, in every conceivable shape and size. You weren’t prepared. Pay attention now, and you will be.
36-Bottle Wine Credenza
Posted in: Today's ChiliSome folks like collecting antique cars (and you will have to be especially loaded if you wish to take that path), while others prefer something a whole lot more affordable such as comic books and trading cards – baseball, basketball or otherwise. Well, perhaps you might want to stand out from the rest of the crowd in the neighborhood by boasting of a wine collection – and what better way to do so than host a party in your pad so that everyone else, especially that neighbor whom you loathe but always want to go one up on him, will be able to check out your $2,599.99 36-Bottle Wine Credenza.
While it is good enough to show off, the 36-Bottle Wine Credenza would also be able to function as the ultimate addition to any wine lover’s home. This is one stylish piece of storage furniture, where as its name gives the game away, is capable of holding up to three dozen bottles of your favorite wine at temperatures of 53°-64°F, thanks to a couple of independently controlled refrigerated units. Not only that, it also has more than enough space to stash in another 18 wine glasses in addition to the rest of your essential wine accessories. Other features of the 36-Bottle Wine Credenza include a trio of pull-out service shelves, dual-paned glass doors and soft interior lighting.

If there’s one thing you might actually want in your face or protruding into your kitchen, it’s a bottle of wine. An aggressive reminder to take a load off is always welcome. And these wine holders can be arranged so the bottles form any shape you want.
It’s like beating Kong in a barrel… Wait, that’s not how the saying goes. But you can say it now. This custom-built Donkey Kong tabletop arcade machine has been put into a barrel. Why? So you can drink and game of course.
Joel Griffin Dodd wanted a fully functional game of Donkey Kong in an old barrel so that he could have beer and cocktails on top of it. How drunk can you get? You probably shouldn’t try to jump over it, though that’s better that than smashing it with a mallet, I suppose.
It looks like a fairly straightforward build. Just put together a mini arcade system and stick it inside a barrel. Then put some glass on top of course. Not that I thought of it or was able to build one myself. Nice work, Joel.
