Accidentally Extraordinary looks to Kickstarter to roll out the AE 51st Studios Unplugged headphones

51st-studiosNot all headphones are created equal, and you can tell by referring to Accidentally Extraordinary, the headphone startup that is the main driving force behind the highly-rated 51st Studios over-ear walnut headphones. Well, they have decided to turn to Kickstarter in order to raise funds for the manufacturing and roll out of their first ever production wood headphones that will boast of Bluetooth connectivity, calling it the AE 51st Studios Unplugged.

I would like to think that the AE 51st Studios Unplugged intends to continue from where its highly successful predecessor, the AE 51st Studios, left off. Relying on the popular design, Accidentally Extraordinary (AE) hopes to raise $60,000 in the next 22 days on Kickstarter so that they can begin to produce the AE 51st Studios Unplugged.

Founder and CEO of AE Kunal Dalal shared, “This launch is important for us. We were thrilled with the love our first headphones received, and now we are trying to build on that success in market as seemingly crowded as this. Because, actually, when it comes to headphones like ours at this price-point, I don’t think there’s that much in the way of competition.”

The AE 51st Studios Unplugged model will support wireless connectivity obviously as it handles Bluetooth connectivity with ease, sporting a multi-function button that can handle power/playback/call functions, with an embedded microphone that caters for wireless calls. There is a sleek looking slider on the left ear cup for next/previous track, while the Volume Slider on the headphone will work too, regardless of whether it is in wired or wireless mode. Walnut wood is used for a distinguished look and a richer listening experience, while the clever implementation of anodized stainless steel for its headband delivers a clean, crisp, ultra-modern finish. Just in case the rest of your devices have not caught up with the Bluetooth program just yet, there will be a detachable 3.5mm cable that caters for wired listening.

Wireless Headphone Ear Warmers lets you jive to your favorite music in comfort

ear-warmersThe temperature’s freezing out there, which basically means you would need to wear something over your ears to prevent them from freezing and falling off. The thing is, you are particularly stressed out that day, and would like to get some relief from your favorite tunes, but it is either wearing a pair of headphones and letting your ears get bitten by the cold, or to forgo the music and wear a pair of ear warmers instead. Decisions, decisions…

Well, we are glad to announce the arrival of the $89.95 Wireless Headphone Ear Warmers, which are ear warmers with a difference. Not only does each pair ensure that your ears remain nice, warm and functional even when it has snowed a foot thick overnight and the winter wind has not stopped blowing, but it will also be able to hook up to any Android, iOS or Windows Phone-powered device via Bluetooth connectivity to deliver your favorite tunes directly into your auditory canal. The ear warmers themselves sport a thermal fleece shell, soft polyester lining, and insulation in order to shield ears from cold winds, and can be folded flat for easy storage in a pocket or purse. A 3.5 hour charge would provide up to 9 hours of use.

Turtle Beach announces iSeries media headsets

turtle-beach-i30When it comes to audio brands, there is one particular name that stands out above the rest for some people, and Turtle Beach would be one of them. The name Turtle Beach has long been synonymous with high quality audio devices, and this time around the company has announced their spanking new iSeries range of high end media headsets. The iSeries will arrive in the form of the wireless surround sound i60 and the wireless amplified stereo i30, where these would no doubt be the first headsets that have been specially constructed for use with both Mac and iOS products. The iSeries headsets themselves will arrive with a bunch of innovations that Turtle Beach originally introduced to gaming headsets but so happen to be new for mobile users. Hopefully, with a little bit of something for everyone, folks will be satisfied.

Some of the new features introduced to gaming headsets that mobile users would fall in love with include improved chat and voice call quality as well as an unmatched level of control over audio. Regardless of whether you settle for the i60 or the i30, they will both share the same unique design which blends style, quality, comfort and durability, while boasting premium finishes, where among them include a leather headband and leather-covered memory foam, noise-isolating ear cups.

The two headsets will also be accompanied by a built-in remote which plays nice with the iPhone, iPad and the Mac. They will come with innovative dual boom-less microphones which will hopefully, deliver clear, high-quality audio during chat, voice calling and use with Siri.

Of course, the i60 will be the flagship model, where it features a control unit for use with Mac desktops and laptops that deliver fingertip audio and preset control. Turtle Beach does have some pretty high hopes that the i60 will also be the first wireless headset for the Mac platform that boasts of 7.1 DTS surround sound with adjustable speaker angles and EQ presets, a fully programmable digital signal processor (DSP), dual-band Wi-Fi for uncompressed, interference free wireless audio and dual-pairing Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
