Adesso Tru-Form Media 1500GB Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard & Mouse unveiled

adesso-truform-1500There are times when you would need to bite the bullet and actually do something about your existing situation if you do not want the same old mistakes or scenarios to repeat itself. I am referring to the likes of putting up with an old, stuttering keyboard and mouse at your workplace, being frustrated when the cursor does not go where you want it to, as well as keyboards that have keys which do not register with a regular tap. Well, those who are in the market for a keyboard and mouse combo might consider checking out the recently announced Adesso Tru-Form Media 1500GB wireless ergonomic keyboard and mouse.

Yes sir, the Adesso Tru-Form Media 1500GB also goes by the moniker WKB-1500GB for short, where it allows users a couple of advanced input devices with ergonomic design, multifunctional features, and a wireless range of up to 30 feet. The asking price stands at an extremely affordable $69.99, and you will be able to pick up the Tru-Form Media 1500GB from major retailers and e-retailers.

The Adesso Tru-Form Media 1500GB comes in a stylish form factor as well as gently-sloped split keyboard design (reminds you of Microsoft’s old ergonomic keyboard, does it not?) that will complement the natural curves and positioning of hands, wrists, and forearms for maximum comfort and extensive use. Of course, if you’re a gamer, the way the keys are split right down the middle might not be the most optimal arrangement, especially when you need to access certain hotkeys, and a millisecond slower might result in defeat instead of victory. The Adesso Tru-Form Media 1500GB seems a whole lot more comfortable in an office setting, where its membrane key switches provide improved tactile response and a quieter typing experience, which is touted to last up to five million keystrokes.

As for the wireless, ergonomic laser mouse, it has laser sensor technology that delivers improved speed and accuracy, alongside a switch for DPI resolution control (800/ 1200/ 1600dpi), apart from a pair of Internet navigation buttons. Any takers?

Microsoft announces Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850

wirelessmobilemouseThe computer mouse has certainly come a long way ever since Apple introduced them to the market many, many moons ago. The early models of computer mice in the market have proved to be unwieldy and downright ugly in comparison to today’s sleek design, but then again that is a given with any kind of technology, right? For those of you who grew up playing LucasArts’ X-Wing on the PC, you would be able to identify with the frantic use of the mouse when a TIE Fighter flies by you, especially when you do not have enough money for a decent joystick. Other games like Starcraft and Quake have also refined the use of the mouse in the computing world as more than just a mere pointing device. Microsoft has introduced their latest addition to the mouse market, which is known as the Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850.

Gone are the computer mice of yesteryears where you would need to clean out the dirt and grime from the internal rollers periodically, otherwise the sensitivity of your mouse would be affected negatively. Most modern mice these days rely on optical or laser technology, and there are no more trackballs left to worry about. With the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850, it is touted to be a super lightweight peripheral that was specially designed ergonomically so that your hand does not hurt despite long hours of use, never mind if you are right handed or are a southpaw.

The Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 would play with your devices using 2.4GHz wireless technology, delivering a reliable wireless connection to your PC thanks to its built-in mini USB transceiver. Since the mini USB transceiver is so small, you are able to leave it plugged into your laptop all the time, or when it is not in use, stash it within the mouse itself so that it does not go missing. Those who are interested in picking up the Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 can choose from five stunning colors – Coal Black, Flame Red, Orchid Pink, Pantone Purple, and Wool Blue, as it carries an estimated retail price of $14.95.

While both models are USB, only the mouse is actually wireless and powered by battery. Announced at 4,180 Yen for the Keyboard and 3,180 Yen for the mouse these …

Logitech outs two wireless mice and an external trackpad, all optimized for Windows 8

Logitech outs two wireless mice and an external trackpad, all optimized for Windows 8

It’ll be another two weeks before Windows 8 PCs go on sale, but if you like, you can pick out your gesture-enabled peripherals now. Logitech just announced two wireless mice and an external trackpad, all optimized to support gestures in Windows 8. Starting with the mice, the Touch Mouse T620 has the same design as the M600 announced earlier this year, except it supports Win 8 gestures out of the box. (The M600 will get a software update allowing it to work the same way.) Similar to its predecessor, the T620’s entire top surface is touch-enabled, which means you can do things like swipe the right side for the Charm Bar, or swipe from the left to rotate through open programs. You can also double tap with one finger to return to the Start Screen, and double tap with two fingers to show the desktop.

Moving on, the Zone Touch Mouse T400 has a touch strip that you can use to move up and down through pages, as well as scroll through the live tiles on the Start Screen. In a brilliant twist, though, the touch strip itself is comprised of two buttons, which you can use to toggle open apps or bring up the Start Screen, depending on which end you press. Finally, the Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 is a Magic Trackpad-style touchpad with a spacious glass surface, which seemed impeccably responsive during our brief hands-on with it. Unlike the two mice, which run on AAs, the T650 has a rechargeable battery, which you can re-juice over USB.

All of these accessories use proprietary 2.4GHz wireless technology instead of Bluetooth, which means you’ll need a free USB port to accommodate the accompanying transceiver. The dongle can pair with up to six Logitech peripherals at once, but that’s a bummer if you also happen to own gear made by a Microsoft or HP. As you might have guessed, these are compatible with Windows PCs only, though you could use them with Win 7 if you so chose. Look for all three this month, with the Touchpad T650 priced $80, the Touch Mouse at $70 and the T400 at $50.

Genius Traveler 9010LS Wireless Laser Mouse

The computer mouse can be said to be one of the more essential peripherals that you should “arm” yourself with, although Mac users might beg to differ. I personally know a few MacBook and MacBook Pro owners who are so used to using their respective notebooks without the mouse, claiming that a mouse will slow them down instead, that it wavered my faith in the Windows environment, albeit for a moment. Still, I am an avid Windows notebook user, and I do say life without a mouse is incomplete, as though there is no coffee during breakfast. Well, Genius has come up with what they call the Genius Traveler 9010LS Wireless Laser Mouse, where it was specially designed in a way where right-handed folks as well as southpaws will be able to use it without feeling awkward (especially for the latter).

This is a four-button mouse that is said to be able to work on just about any surface, including glass and marble. The useful Stick-N-Go mounting paves the way for trouble-free handling when moving from place to place, and it will “communicate” with its USB Pico receiver using 2.4GHz technology. The sensitivity is adjustable too, ranging from 800 to 1200 and 1600 dpi, depending on the situation at hand. Even more interesting is the fact that it works well with either AA or AAA battery, now how about that?

Just how much is Genius asking for the Genius Traveler 9010LS wireless laser mouse? Not much really, although gamers might want to steer clear of it considering how this is more suitable for an office and home environment, rather than to furiously click your way through all 100 Paragon levels in Diablo 3. Out in North America now for $39.99 a pop, each purchase will come with the mouse itself, its USB Pico receiver, a Stick-N-Go mount, and an AA alkaline battery to get you started right out of the box.
