Wolfenstein: The New Order 30 Minute Gameplay Footage Released

Wolfenstein has to be one of the more classic FPS games from back in the day that helped make the genre popular. We guess it’s about time that someone revived the classic which is what Bethesda has done with Wolfenstein: The New Order which is currently scheduled for a release on a multitude of platforms come 20th May.

Now we’ve seen various footage and photos from the game, such as trailers, screenshots, concept images, and so on, but if you were wondering how the game will actually play, you might be interested to learn that Bethesda has recently released a 30 minute video which basically showcases the gameplay of the upcoming game, giving gamers a pretty deep look into what they might be able to expect.

Since the video itself is pretty long, you might want to enjoy it with a snack or a drink. For those who’d rather not spoil the game for themselves, we guess you should probably skip the footage as there are spoilers in the footage that we’re sure some gamers would much rather they discover for themselves.

However for those who think that this is not enough, the good news is that Bethesda will be hosting another livestream of the game on the 24th of April at 2pm EST, so you can check back then if you’d like to see additional gameplay and learn more about the game. In the meantime who’s excited for the game’s upcoming release?

Wolfenstein: The New Order Pre-Order Bonuses Includes TF2 Items And DOOM Beta Access

Wolfenstein: The New Order Pre Order Bonuses Includes TF2 Items And DOOM Beta AccessIf there’s one thing that Team Fortress 2 is known for, it would be its hats which gamers can purchase using real money. They’re merely cosmetic items and don’t add to the player’s stats or bonuses, but if you’re the type that cares about aesthetics, then it’s definitely worth taking a look at.

Now the good news is that if you were interested in getting your hands on the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order game, you might be pleased to learn that Valve has sweetened the deal by announcing some pre-order bonuses if you were to pre-order the game via Steam. Wolfenstein: The New Order Trailer Released, Looks Pretty Grim

We’re sure that there are more than a few of you guys who have played the original Wolfenstein game from back in the day. The gameplay was relatively new and the graphics, well, we suppose for that time it was pretty good but definitely pales in comparison to what we have today.

Now we know that MachineGames is working on a new game called Wolfenstein: The New Order and a new trailer has recently been released, which safe to say is actually pretty disturbing and does a good job at settting a very dark and serious tone for the upcoming game.

The game was originally pegged for a release back in 2013 but due to delays, the game has since been pushed for a release this year, although there’s still no word on when exactly that will be taking place. According to Bethesda’s Pete Hines, he felt that the game could use the extra time to polish up which we guess is a fair assessment. After all no one likes a buggy game or one that feels rushed, right?

The delay was also because the game was being developed simultaneously for both current and next-gen consoles, so gamers on either platform can rest assured knowing that the releases should be around the same time as opposed to having to wait around for the launch on their current/next-gen console. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the video above for the trailer.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition Does Not Include Game

Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition Does Not Include GameWhen you come across a particular item like the $100 Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition, I am quite sure that with our experience in the past, we would have more or less figured out that this would be a special edition of the game. What would you get having parted with a Benjamin then?

Wolfenstein: The New Order Will Feature Native 1080p/60FPS On Xbox One And PS4

Wolfenstein: The New Order Will Feature Native 1080p/60FPS On Xbox One And PS4It was in May last year when Bethesda made an announcement concerning Wolfenstein: The New Order, where it will arrive on the PC, PS3 as well as next-gen platforms (back then). The thing is, the game itself has been delayed to this year from the last, which is not a bad thing entirely if it means being able to roll out a polished game at the end of it without any bugs accompanying its release. Well, it does seem as though Wolfenstein: The New Order on the Sony PS4 as well as Xbox One will be able to feature native 1080p/60fps on both consoles, achieving parity regardless of the platform that you have affiliated yourself with.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Delayed To 2014

Wolfenstein: The New Order Delayed To 2014Earlier this year, Bethesda announced a new Wolfenstein game titled, Wolfenstein: The New Order. The game appeared to be pretty impressive and was slated for a release later this year on multiple platforms such as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next-gen consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately if you were looking forward to playing the game this year, we’re afraid you might have to find something else to occupy your time because Bethesda’s VP of marketing and PR, Pete Hines, confirmed via his Twitter account that Wolfenstein: The New Order will only be shipping in 2014.

According to Hines, “We have confirmed today at QuakeCon that Wolfenstein will ship next year, all platforms. Felt it deserved some additional time for polish.” Hines also confirmed to Polygon that the reason behind the delay was not just because of the additional polish being made to the game, but also because of the fact that it was being developed for current- and next-gen consoles simultaneously. Naturally this is disappointing news but since we’d much rather play a well-polished game rather than a hastily released one, we’d say that the extra few months of waiting should be worth it.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Is Single Player Only

Wolfenstein: The New Order Is Single Player OnlyWhen id Software first came out with Wolfenstein 3D, it blew my mind away. Multi-player? That was virtually impossible in the day back then considering the technical limitations, and fragging became commonplace only with the introduction of Doom and subsequently, the Quake series. Still, a pseudo remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein many years later when the 3D video cards market was maturing nicely added in a multiplayer aspect, and to hear that Bethesda’s upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order title that is being developed by MachineGames drop the multiplayer aspect is definitely quite a shocker.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is set in 1960, where in this alternate version of world history saw the Nazis end up as the dominant power, where they have a slew of new technology at their disposal, so you as the series’ protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz will have to once more save the world – on your own. No death matches, no cussing and swearing, it is just plain old slugging it out with the computer AI.

Bethesda Announces Wolfenstein: The New Order For 360, PS3, PC, Next-Gen

Bethesda Announces Wolfenstein: The New Order For 360, PS3, PC, Next Gen

The last time gamers were treated to a Wolfenstein game it was back in 2009 when Activision published its sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, simply called Wolfenstein. It looks like a new game will soon be upon us as Bethesda is announcing Wolfenstein: The New Order is headed our way later this year.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is being developed by MachineGames, which is a studio comprised of former founding members of Starbreeze Studios, a studio that developer The Darkness, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assualt on Dark Athena and Syndicate. The game will be a re-imagining  of the Wolfenstein franchise and is said to offer players a “gripping and dramatic experience.” A teaser trailer was also released today showing William “B.J.” Blazkowicz taking on an army of Nazi-controller robots in what looks to be an alternate time that may have resulted in the Nazi threat continuing through history. Bethesda Teases Unannounced Game Through Vine Video

Bethesda Teases Unannounced Game Through Vine Video

We know Bethesda is planning to make some more noise this year especially considering the team behind Skyrim will be moving on from the game. The teasing looks to have officially started as Bethesda just published a cryptic Vine video of an unannounced game earlier today.

The Vine video Bethesda published shows four scenes: two of the scenes feature barbed wire moving in a circular motion, then a sheet music can be seen, one of which includes Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Air on the G-String.” We’re not sure what Bethesda is teasing in its Vine video, but one thing we do know is that it isn’t related to Fallout 4 as Bethesda’s president of marketing and PR Pete Hines squashed that thought right out of our heads.
