Sony Xperia S39h spotted in leaked photos, looks to be a dual-SIM Xperia L

Sony S39h leaked photos point to a slightly tweaked Xperia L

An unannounced Sony phone with the model number S39h has been spotted by Xperia Blog. There are no specs or launch details to share, but Engadget China has it pegged as a dual-SIM phone. It’s similar to the Xperia L (S36h), albeit with some small differences like a relocated front-facing camera. Not as glamorous as a dual-SIM Galaxy S 4, perhaps, but two signal bars are always nice to see.

Sony Xperia SP And Xperia L Pre-Order Listings Appear

Sony Xperia SP And Xperia L Pre Order Listings AppearWell, well, what do we have here? The Sony Xperia SP as well as Sony Xperia L are two smartphones that have yet to be announced, but they have already found their way to a bunch of sites on the Internet. Both Amazon as well as eBuyer do have placeholders in place (pardon the pun) for both smartphones, but LamdaTek as well as Irish retailer Micro Aid decided to go one up by having put pre-orders for the Xperia SP as well as the Xperia L.

LamdaTek decided to list the Xperia SP with a £312.98 price tag, while the Xperia L would go for £219.18, and it seems that stock of both devices have been tipped to arrive this coming March 19th. As for Micro Aid, they have listed the handsets at €389.79 and €270.46, respectively, and stocks are said to arrive tomorrow. This is rather interesting, considering there has been little to no information on either device, so we will just have to make educated guesses on what these will deliver right out of the box based on the price range itself.

Sony Xperia L Specifications Detailed

Sony Xperia L Specifications DetailedSony Mobile certainly seems as though they are cranking up the smartphone manufacturing line, as more and more models seem to pop out from nowhere. The thing is, it does look like they want to take the same road that Samsung did, aiming for the entire market spectrum, ranging from the entry level to the mid-range, and then the high-end side of things. Of course, Samsung has more or less done so to great effect, and perhaps Sony might want to work on keeping things simple in terms of naming convention, instead of lumping everything under the Xperia name.

Well, the Sony Xperia L does look as though it is going to firmly entrench itself in the mid-range smartphone market, offering specifications that are functional, but do not wow in any way. Codenamed TaoShan, the Xperia L apparently comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display at 480×854 resolution, where it is accompanied by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor with Adreno 305 graphics, an 8-megapixel Exmor RS camera, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 1,700 mAh battery to keep things running fine and dandy. Word has it that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will be the operating system of choice, where it will also carry the model number C210X.

sony xperia logo Sony Xperia SP And Xperia L Hinted In Postel FilingWith the high-end Sony Xperia Z unveiled at CES 2013, we expect that Sony will also be unveiling additional low-mid ranged devices that will cater to those shopping with tighter purse strings and according to entries on Indonesian certification site, Postel, devices with the names Xperia SP and Xperia L have been revealed, and with MWC 2013 taking place next month, we expect Sony could be using the event as a platform to launch these new devices.

The Xperia SP is also known as the HuaShan (C530X) which was spotted several days ago in an alleged leaked photo. The Xperia SP is expected to be a mid-ranged device and based on its rumored specs, it will sport a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU with a display resolution of 1280×720. The Xperia L (C210X) on the other hand will be an entry-level device with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus chip. Both devices are expected to run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Additional specs remain unknown but hopefully more details will surface prior to MWC 2013, but if they don’t there is a good chance that they will be revealed at MWC itself, so check back with us then for the details.
