10 Year Old Falls on Train Tracks While Gaming
Posted in: gaming, Today's Chili, video games, videos, Weird NewsJust when you thought that we had all learned our lesson, this 10 year old boy reminds us yet again that it’s more important to watch where you’re going than watch a shiny blinking device in your hands. If the lady who fell into a mall fountain while texting wasn’t enough reason that there are cameras everywhere and we should probably avoid doing stupid things or else they’ll wind up on the Internet, let this serve as a warning.
Before you all think I’m a horrible person for even linking the video, the boy wasn’t hurt, there was no electrified rail involved, and you can see that a number of good Samaritans in the train station jumped into action to bring the poor boy back up from the tracks to the platform. Among them was the 23-year old off-duty police officer who can be seen in the video immediately jumping down onto the tracks to pick the boy up.
According to a post at Kotaku, the boy was so engrossed in his PSP game that he didn’t even see that he was close to the edge of the platform, and his mother and sister were too far away to get to him at that point. All in all, the boy was a little winded, but that’s about all. I wonder what he was playing that was so immersive.
