3D Web Browsers Are Still Alive

If you are like me then you will have forgotten all about the 3D Web Browsers that were being developed in the 90′s. The one that I remember was CubicEye which has since turned into a 3D application platform. However, there are still 3B, Browse3D, and SphereXPlorer that are available for those people who want to get the 3D experience while browsing the Web.

I am not familiar with any of those browsers, but I was looking at CubicEye again and this demo was actually kind of cool. It shows how they utilize the 3D view to display search results quicker. It isn’t something that I would use on a regular basis because of how much screen space it takes up, but it is just one of those things that are cool to look at.
