One of the great features of the Microsoft Touch and Type covers for their Surface tablets is that they’re pretty thin and don’t really add much weight or bulk to the entire tablet. In fact the Touch covers are just a little bit thicker compared to Apple’s own Smart Covers, so imagine if Apple were to introduce such a product to their lineup, wouldn’t that be a good idea?
Well perhaps Apple will or maybe they won’t, but at the very least thanks to an Apple patent, it seems that the Cupertino company has at one point or the other explored the possibility. As you can see in the diagram above, it shows off a keyboard-like attachment designed for the iPad in mind, or rather a tablet to be exact. (more…)
