BlackBerry Explains Ads For BBM

As we reported the other day, BlackBerry appeared to be testing a beta for their BBM Android app that would introduce ads into the messaging service. Based on the description, it sounded like the ads weren’t intrusive as they would appear as Channel Updates.
This is versus more intrusive ads found in free games and apps where banners might appear at the top of the app or have a full popup ad display every now and then.
