Bleep Smart Charging Cable Has Local Storage for Backups

If you aren’t the best about backing up your smartphone data, that lack of backups may come back to haunt you if you lose or break your device. I can’t even call my own wife without my smartphone because I no longer know any numbers by heart. If you are on Android or iOS a new charging cable is on Indiegogo called Bleep, that provides added peace of mind for your valuable mobile data.

Bleep is a cable that is designed to charge your device and backup your data. One end of the cable has up to 64GB of storage space inside. An app on the phone makes sure that each time you plug in to charge your data gets backed up too.

The idea here is that the data gets backed up locally making backups easy to perform even if the internet is down. Bleep is looking to raise $20,000 and you can get in on the early bird action with a 16GB cable for $40. Deliveries are expected to start in August 2015.
