Courtney Love Releases 'Miss Narcissist'

Earlier this year, Courtney Love told EW that she was “not really interested” in making music at the moment, but the former Hole singer has released a new song, “Miss Narcissist,” via Ghost Ramp, Wavves’ Nathan Williams’ label. She wrote on Facebook that the track will be available on 7″ vinyl this summer with “Radio Killer” as the B-side.

It’s the first time we’ve heard Love’s voice since her guest role as a former junkie rock star on “Empire” earlier this year — she’s featured on “Walk Out On Me” and “Take Me To The River” — and “Miss Narcissist” seems to be a tongue-in-cheek at the way she knows she’s perceived in the media. That’s especially relevant because Love has spent much of the past few months promoting “Montage of Heck,” Brett Morgen’s authorized Kurt-Cobain documentary. Listen below:

Love is currently on tour with Lana Del Rey.
