Sierra has announced that they will be offering F.E.A.R. Combat as a free download on Thursday, August 17. This isn’t just going to be a small demo of the game either, they say that “F.E.A.R. Combat is the complete multiplayer component of F.E.A.R. and includes all the updates, additional official maps and additional official game modes all in one downloadable file.” So it looks like this is not just some gimmick to suck you in to buy the game. For those that are still in disbelief you can check out the features that F.E.A.R. Combat has:
- 10 Multiplayer Game modes.
- 19 Multiplayer Maps.
- 12 different weapons.
- Punkbuster support for anti cheat support.
- The capability to download user generated content.
You will have to register in order to get the download and you can do this on Thursday at www.joinfear.com.
