Microsoft has undoubtedly been working very hard to close what’s known as the “app-gap” between its mobile platform and rivals like iOS and Android. Just a few months back it confirmed that popular apps like Vine and Instagram were finally making their way to Windows Phone. Today Microsoft’s Windows Phone VP Joe Belfiore confirmed at the press & analyst event ahead of Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona that the standable Facebook Messenger app for Windows Phone 8 is going to be released soon.
