If you were one of those who placed your pre-order for a copy of Far Cry 3, then be prepared to wait a little bit longer, as it seems that Ubisoft’s desert island shooter will experience a delay, hence the release date being pushed back to November 30th. The UK will be the first to receive this particular game, which is a good three months after the originally planned September 4th release date. I guess you will have to find a different way to keep yourself occupied throughout that quarter – perhaps if you want something engrossing and yet rolls back the years to your childhood, a copy of Pokemon Black & White 2 might just be the right tonic, as you strive to catch ‘em all.
Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft, said, “We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience. Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.” I always believed that it is better to delay a title to make sure it comes out perfect – or at least something close to it, instead of rolling out something which is gimped from the get go.
