Consumer electronics devices that are able to bend? That sounds like an extremely interesting proposition for sure, and it has yet to catch on, but we have seen some examples in recent times such as the LG G Flex (which is also a self-healing handset, at least for its exterior case). This just goes to show how the likes of LG has already managed to achieve a bendable display to a certain extent as depicted above, but a team of scientists at the University of Houston might be on to something better this time around. This bunch of researchers have managed to figure out a way to use a gold nanomesh material in order to create a flexible, conductive and transparent surface for electronics.
