Folks Take Cellphones To The Grave

Casket
It’s no Halloween joke. Calls from the other world could soon be on the rise though we are not yet talking a Ringu-like situation just yet.

An increasing number of people are now being buried with their cellphones. Funeral directors think that having a cellphone in the casket is the same as being buried with other mementos such as a picture or a piece of jewelry, reports MSNBC.

It’s also comforting for relatives and friends to know someone who’s already in the other world has their phone.

Beyond the initial surprise, the trend of cellphones in the casket is only likely to grow. After all, the cellphone is one of our prized possessions and we take it everywhere–movies, restaurants, vacations, bathroom.

Why not take it to the grave, even if it adds an another dimension to the question, ‘Can you hear me now?’
