Amazon announced that starting today, you can now gift Kindle Books to anyone with an email address, no kindle required. And just in time for the holidays.
In the press release, Amazon confessed that the kindle is the most gifted item in the history of amazon.com, but apparently, they’ve also realized that not ever one owns one. Amazon claims that millions of people are reading Kindle books around the world on not just Kindle devices, but with free Kindle apps. Now, those that read Kindle books on their iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac, PC, Blackberry, or Android device can join in on the gifting fun.
All you have to do is select the Kindle book, click “Give as Gift,” and send it to your intended recipients e-mail address. The recipient will receive an e-mail notification and can redeem the book in the Kindle Store. Easy Peasy, one holiday gift done. Also, Amazon just announced it’s Top 100 Editors’ Picks to help you select some of the best books of the year for gifting.
