When the Nexus 4 smartphone was announced last year, many were wondering how the smartphone was going to perform without 32GB storage or LTE compatibility. It is now being reported that come May, Google will be launching a revised version of the Nexus 4. It won’t have any design or internal hardware changes, save for the fact that it will come with 32GB internal storage and 4G LTE network compatibility. The announcement is expected to be made at Google’s annual I/O conference.
That’s not all, Google is also expected to unveil the next major Android platform update. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will reportedly bring a host of new features as well as improvements to the platform that powers 70% of the global smartphone market. It is being said that the 32GB Nexus 4 will have LTE and CDMA support, this will make it compatible with both Sprint and Verizon in the country. At the moment only a GSM model is available for purchase through Google Play, it works on AT&T and T-Mobile. With all premium Android smartphones offering LTE compatibility it makes sense for Google to add it to the Nexus 4 if they’re not immediately planning on releasing a successor.
