Google redesigns search results
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Internet’s search king, Google, has unveiled a new way of presenting search results and if you noticed, there was additional whitespace sans a sidebar. This design is not an experiment, but rather, has been made official. The whole idea for the tweaked look is to deliver a consistent search experience “across the side variety of devices and screen sizes people use today” for users. With the lack of sidebars, while transferring the search options to a bar on top of the search results page, Google has freed up additional room for its Knowledge Graph results.
How do you find the way the search results are now presented? Those who are nostalgic about the old look might not be too happy, but if you prefer the older look, all you need to do is click on the “Search tools” options, and it will deliver similar options as before. Right now, only folks living in the US will be able to take advantage of the new design, and needless to say, Google has plans to deliver this spanking new search results design to folks living in other regions, and in other languages, too. Check out Google’s full announcement right after the jump.
